Steven Avery: Making of a Murderer

This has long since descended into petty bickering. Has there been anything solid that could show Avery was guilty or innocent recently?

The way I see it we're still mulling over essentially the same questions we did when the documentary came out, some two years ago. Has there been anything at all recently?

I am responding to this post as representative of those who see a non binary solution, which I do not.
Avery had nothing to do with this crime. It is obvious to all but believers in authority.
We have seen it proven every way to Rome these people are crooks and Avery is not.

She will list every failed or aborted attempt on her own website. It's what lawyers do. They all show you their list of lost or abandoned cases.

As always this debate has ceased to reflect what the forum is named for.
This is regrettable.
Zellner is a heavyweight and fortunately comments purporting wisdom here are indelible.
Let us return, I will be happy to quote the inanities later on.

It doesn't need to be "every" case. There's going to be some kind of track record and with someone of Zellner's considerable public profile I would expect that more than a few journalists would have devoted at least a little bit of time researching her background.

Let's see just a few examples to start with. Then we can go from there.

Ive never read this before! someone shouting in the background during the Colburn recording?

On Nov. 3, 2005, Officer Colborn discovered the victim's vehicle and called dispatch, on a personal line, to confirm the victim's license plate number," Zellner wrote in court filings. "On Nov. 3, 2005, according to the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department reports, Ms. Halbach's vehicle was seized."

Zellner contends that someone else, perhaps Lenk, was with Colborn at the time he called dispatch. In the audio recording of Colborn's call, a man's voice can be heard shouting in the distance, "the car's here!"

Ok so this sounds like proof the car was moved after Colborn called it in. Police have control, and it is "found" in a different location, now on Steven Avery's shared property.
When it is found the plates are in a different vehicle on that property. So the police removed the plates to make it look as though someone was trying to conceal it.
Is this argument consistent? Is there an alternative explanation for any of the above? Police do not let go of a person or object of interest do they.

This is outrageous, but we've known that since last december.

Yes, I need to re-read Zellners filing. Hopefully soon the confusing Testing will be completed.

heres the "working theory" interesting.

Good, getting close, all makes sense.
Now we need a working theory of who killed cock robin, or even better, who drilled two neat 22 holes in a slight downward trajectory to the left rear of Teresa Halbach's skull, so it looked just like a left handed cop who had a compliant suspect with her hands on her car.

the RAV4 back door latch.

Pam of God's pic clearly shows no blood stain on the back door latch.

the Crime Lab pic clearly does (much much later)

..... Sherri Poofhair ran a test on it.

so? how did the blood smear get there?
a) on the way to the Crime Lab,
b) at the Crime Lab
c) immediately after Pam of God took the picture

Is Dassey free yet? Or is still locked up somewhere? I did a few searches, but couldn't find the answers anywhere.

He is still locked up. The state appealed and the 7th circuit blocked his release. He will remain in prison until the appeal of his overturned conviction is resolved - so probably at least a year (and then obviously either be released, or remain in prison based on the result).

It is interesting to see here in real time what happens.
The machinery is endemic worldwide. Today I learned extreme detail about a local case where an innocent man is doing year 15. I heard close detail concerning the appeal, and accordingly watch all these cases with a combination of alarm and slowness.

thats what I gather from the cases too, its so slow and could happen to anyone.
once the prosecution decides your guilty all the henchmen only look at you as guilty and the public and judges whose see the employees everyday usually side with the police etc.

like an andy griffith syndrome, tv shows where cops are the good guys and people like steve avery is dressed in a striped jail outfit for the jury to see.

speaking of the jury....theres still some odd behaviors there, bit wasnt listed in Zellners doc's. she did mention RH so he must be on pins and needles.

Samson I dont know how you keep up on numerous cases, I can do one at a time barely, so much information.
