there is no one to run against him.
2012...obama by default.

Just for fun, I thought I'd mention that Perry's candidacy cratered last night during the debate. In fact, he did so poorly and Obama himself is so wounded that Christie and Palin are now seriously considering getting into the race.
....depending on the economy. If - as I believe - we're in another deep recession a year from now, then you may be right about the title to be used.I still say, helloPresidentCandidate Romney.
I guess you never heard of Walter Mondale.perry for president.
wow...americans sure have one heck of an inferiority complex.
out of 300 million plus people, you would think there was a real, viable, capable candidate somewhere.
why do you set your aspirations so abysmally low?
...is virtually inevitable, and evidence for this is the several recent "special elections", which give you an idea of what the people think, as well as the 2010 elections.......an immense "coming out of the woodwork" grassroots effort that gets folks who rarely vote to vote GOP,....
The GOP are showing me, since about the 2006 election cycle, some serious political ineptitude. I don't see their allowing the media to direct the message of their candidate pool (which is what these phony TV debate things are, letting the media direct your message delivery) as an intelligent strategy.

Not to vote for a Mormon, they won't.
Does the Republican party even want to win in 2012? Surely they must be tempted to leave the Democrats in power during the current economic woes -- not to mention with the political pain of pulling out of Afghanistan and Iraq -- and aim for 2016 instead.
