*split* A conspiracy comic website?

The same message that "truthers" give about the victims every time they open their mouths - that they don't give a damn about the victims.

*Disclaimer: I am not suggesting for a second that the proprietors of the stripgenerator site are troofers.
I respectfully disagree counselor. The woo disrespect the victims with their idiotic and nonsensical theories. The truthers just ask questions and then either go full woo or become normal and realize their mistakes.

Fair enough. I made no distinction between "truther" and "woo" because I tend to view all truthers as woos, and that perhaps was unfair of me. As you aptly pointed out, some "truthers" have certainly been salvaged before they went full woo. Good point.

So are you going to do that email and use your legalese?

I think a collection is a good idea. My only concern would be how to make sure the comics included don't make light of the tragedy itself. The collection would need to emphasize that the Truthers are the targets and not the events of the day.

For us, talking about 9/11 in this way is pretty common becuase of who we deal with all the time, but people outside of the 9/11 conspiracy community might not understand and maybe would take offense to comics about 911. Just have to be careful, methinks.

I agree with this.

My vote is that someone compile them into a book where the proceeds are donated to the families of 9/11 victims.
It's a nice idea, but I don't know what the market would be for what is mostly a collection of (very) inside jokes that are available for free. Here's some pricing for print-on-demand from lulu.com (Prices are production costs and DO NOT include shipping costs or lulu's commission. Worldwide shipping available. Inside U.S. normal shipping is UPS Ground.)

Comic (6.625"X10.25"), B&W, Perfect Bound 50 pages: $5.53 each; 100 pages $6.53 each for 1-25, $5.47 each for 50.

Comic, B&W saddle stitch 50 pages: $8.53 each: 85 pages (max is 88 pages for saddle stitching): $12.35 each for 1-25, $11.56 each for 50.

Comic, Color, Perfect Bound 50 pages: $12.03 each; 100 pages: $19.53 for 1-25, $18.27 each for 50.

Comic, Color, Saddle Stitch 50 pages: $10.50 each; 85 pages: $15.75 for 1-25, $15.38 for 50.

Saddle-stitched comic pricing example by lulu.com (Shipping not included)

The book price is calculated: $ 5.50 Printing cost (11¢/page x 50 pages)
+ 3.00 Fixed fee for cover, binding, setup
———
$ 8.50 Production costs

+ 4.00 Royalty
+ 1.00 Lulu commission (25% of your royalty)

======
$ 13.50 Price

Prices for available formats
Price = Production Costs + Royalty ($4) + Lulu Commission ($1), so:

* Print = $13.50 (production cost is $8.50)
* Download = $5.00 (production cost is $0)

Enter your selling price
If you know what you want to charge, let Lulu calculate the royalty and fees for you. Enter a price for one format, and Lulu calculates your royalty and the other selling prices. For example, if you want to offer your book for $19.95, enter $19.95 in the print price field. The following equation shows the new royalty and Lulu commission amounts.

$ 5.50 Printing cost (11¢/page x 50 pages)
+ 3.00 Fixed fee for cover, binding, setup
———
$ 8.50 Production costs

+ 9.16 Royalty
+ 2.29 Lulu commission (20% of total profit)
======
$ 19.95 Price

Indeed.

However I note that a few of the strips did indeed have the serious message of 9/11 in them (beautifully and powerfully done, btw). So perhaps if the strips were put into some sort of internal order that concludes with these at the end, your concern about showing honour to the victims and their families could be adequately addressed, and the point of the previous strips hammered home.

And to allay the lesser concern about the relevance of the strip contents to "outsiders", perhaps each strip, or set of strips on a particular topic, could be accompanied by a short piece of text showing its relevance - perhaps with selected cites and quotes. This would also serve a second useful purpose - it would show the troofers how research SHOULD be done...

I will put the comic strips on my website if y'all want?

(I'll await a response)

If there are any grammatical/spelling errors in my cartoons, or if you have any better ideas for the punch line(?), feel free to edit them. It's not very easy to make jokes in a language you hardly speak :boxedin:
