Spiritual Warfare

Humm. So this focus on 'real' demons sounds more like giving up on a broader idea of spiritual warfare. Maybe it was hard to get Christians motivated over abstract ideas of evil, so it was rebranded as something discrete and more personal. If Jesus could be seen in toast, demons could be present in burned gravy.

In some cases, psychological problems are seen as spiritual attack by demons.

Spiritual Warfare in Hindu mythology.

Dev(angenls) and Asur(devils) were perhaps real people and the battle between them (Devasur sangram )(War between angels & devils) did take place.

Most likely, such war occur/indicated to balance previous excesses of good & bad.

Kumar, is there any tradition in Hinduism of demons psycologically attacking people or of people being possessed by demons? Is there any tradition of exorcism?
