I've seen many hundreds of airstrike videos, but this one is different. It's in high-definition color and looks like it was made for a Hollywood movie. Also, instead of ISIS getting blown up it's the other way around. When you view it switch to HD and go fullscreen. You will see an Iraqi Humvee being blown up.

Wow!

GTA4 with cheats - next they will be standing on the wing of a jet fighter...

Another couple of clues.... the bomb explodes

1... but none of the other Humvees move an inch. In reality, their drivers would all be high-tailing it out of there!

2... there are no people running for cover.

Then of course, the obvious clue.... the source.

Live Leak is a video sharing site, Literally anyone can upload videos, so it about as reliable as youtube.

Ummm. Can we maybe put the authenticity question back on the table?

Washington Post has a story on it with other videos by ISIS dropping bombs from drones.

Washington Post said:
...U.S. officials confirm that the terrorist group appears to have crossed a threshold with its use of unmanned aircraft. Two years after the Islamic State first used commercially purchased drones to conduct surveillance, the militants are showing a growing ambition to use the technology to kill enemies, U.S. officials and terrorism experts say.

The threat to troops is serious enough to prompt U.S. and Iraqi commanders to issue warnings to soldiers near the front lines. But a far bigger worry, U.S. officials say, is the potential for future attacks against civilians. Islamist militants have long discussed the possibility of using drones as remote-controlled missiles that can deliver explosives or even unconventional weapons such as deadly nerve agents. In recent weeks, the notion of terrorist drones has moved a step closer to reality, terrorism experts say....

If this is authentic then your points can be explained. People in the immediate area could know that there was an explosion, and even maybe see the Humvee blow up, but not know why it happened or even if they are being actively attacked. IOW, don't do anything until you figure out what just happened and what should be your next move. A bomb falling from the sky is completely unexpected and they might initially be highly skeptical that that was the source of the explosion.

I am able to see tracks being made with my hi-def monitor.
Yep, so am I, and the vehicle immediately behind the one targeted definitely moves back after the explosion (0'37"). It draws away from the tracks of the tank. The humvee to the right of the one targeted moves back as well (0'50").

I think the clue is also in "IS drone".

As explained in other posts, ISIS has been using drones for about a year now. These are not purpose built military drones, they just adapt civilian camera drones to gravity drop grenade and mortar rounds. It's been getting a bit of coverage on the BBC and a few other sources that follow the Iraqi and Syrian conflicts in detail.

The video seems plausible to me. It was a lucky hit, but a plausible one.

I think they hit the Humvee instead of the tank because they knew the tank's armor was too thick for the round to do much damage. The Iraqi Humvees are modified with turrets that might not have as much armor as what the vehicle originally had, if the hummer was even armored to begin with. The round probably went through the armor and blew up inside the vehicle.

Pretty much this. ISIL does not have military-level drones such as Predators, but it's a fairly simple matter to modify off-the-shelf drones with GoPro cameras and mechanisms for dropping relatively small ordnance on their enemies. Most of the time the rounds are entirely ineffective, from what I understand; either they miss or it doesn't blow up or someone shoots the drone down, but there are some success stories in there. Although I would question the video uploader's sense of "huge" in this instance, considering the size of some of the explosions you'll see when one of our drones hits a target. Google "drone strike videos" and you'll see what I mean.

The dropped ordnance appeares to be a mortar round, and I have yet to see a game with that level of explosion, smoke, and shadow realism, though I would be happy to be wrong.

As others have said, it appears to be a commercial drone rigged to drop a mortar shell and they managed to get lucky.

Actually one of Wargaming titles might do that and maybe latest Unreal Engine or CryEgnine. There's a lot of effort being invested into this.

I have serious doubts about this video.

Mostly, the camera is absolutely motionless when the bomb is released - the sudden loss of a few pounds should have rocked it.

IMO, it was a weaponless camera drone observing the battle, and the Humvee was blown up via more traditional means (a nearby IED, most likely). Then the bomb was inserted into the camera feed via CGI.
