Space Tourism

Virgin is planning to offer flights into space for about £100,000 (nearly $200,000) some time in the next few years.

While I'm sure the price will come down I have doubts that it'll ever come down to the point where anyone can afford to do it; it is an intrinsically expensive thing to do.

Look at Concorde: with the exception of a few charter flights it remained too expensive for most people to afford to give it a go, and Concorde seated many more people than Branson's spacecraft are going to. And it also had a practical use, not just giving you a few minutes weightlessness.
