... or hopefully today, at least.

Countdown clock says just over an hour at the main page here.

You can watch live internet footage here.

Well, she's up! So far, so good :)

Excellent ongoing shots from the external fuel tank!

WOW!

Fantastic shots from the camera on the ET!!

I'll be looking forward to the unedited footage from the tank-mounted camera. Everytime it was getting interesting, the NASA TV feed managed to cut away. I was really looking forward to the booster separation!

They showed a replay of the launch from one angle on the ground there. Maybe they might show more.

Awe that was beautiful. I don’t know why but I expected all sorts of pyrotechnics when the shuttle dropped the tank. But no, nothing. It was as though the thing just became unglued. Nice one yanks, I’m well pleased.

Fresh bread, Mars bars and booze for space station crew I hope.

Wow... just saw the full replay of the entire external tank camera footage from a few miles up all the way to seperation from the shuttle. :D

Clouds in the north Atlantic gave a sensation of speed and I loved the way the shuttle seperates from the external tank. It pulls back, up and away from the tank like a fighter plane doing a slow and graceful climb.

I'm sure some of you heard on the news that they observed some of the foam breaking away from the main fuel tank, but that it didn't impact the shuttle this time.

The shuttle program is grounded again until this is explored further.

I heard one of the talking heads say something like:

" This new development will not cause Columbia to cut the current mission short and return to Earth early .. "

Does anyone else see a problem with such a comment ?
