A tip of my hat to my buddy Al for tipping me on this.

A post complaining about Wells Fargo not providing funding on a "Promissory Note" Check out the complaint from Jamal of Athens, TN on March 31, 2017

https://www.consumeraffairs.com/finance/wells_fargo.html?page=2

Then representatives of OTI came in on Friday, March 31st, 2017. He attempted to open a business and savings account, which we did not request and, avoiding the very reason we came into the branch, which was to exchange legal tender (promissory note). We explained our intent and he then referred us to another Banking institution of Wells Fargo to speak with someone who dealt with our particular financial needs. We then, met with the Personal Banker's, referral and then he explained that they do honor promissory notes as legal tender, negotiable instruments. He said we can't use our promissory note but Wells Fargo creates their own promissory note. We were then directed to corporate at Wells fargo.

Several other calls were made to the corporate offices in California, one in Southeastern and the other in San Francisco, in attempts to exercise our rights regarding the promissory note according to the UCC law which is under the Federal Reserves and Maritime Law. [Admiralty law or maritime law is a distinct body of law that governs maritime questions and offenses. It is a body of both domestic law governing maritime activities, and private international law governing the relationships between private entities that operate vessels on the oceans].

SovCits are fully crazy but I'm not sure what this guy was trying to accomplish. Basically, it can probably be summed up as, "Wells Fargo, give me four hundred sixteen million dollars, right now".

I... I don... What?

It's not perfectly clear, but I think they may have attempted to turn some jive promissory note into cash.

Hell of a problem in the northern counties in California right now. SC's trying to file false liens etc. and then attempting to issue "promissory notes" based on the lien amounts. Eventually some folks are going to wish they never came up with the idea.

Both the feds and state take a dim view of the creation of false instruments and the attempt to use them in commerce.

^Bingo^

It's a going thing - if these guys could turn lead into gold as successfully as they turn paper into handcuffs they'd really have something worth thinking about.

I wonder if the Feds could aggressively go after the bunch of them with RICO as organized crime. Or, is this not actually an organized crime syndicate?

A RICO on these goofballs would be a completely different type of prosecution than the typical type of criminal operation.

If you've got a bunch of guys running dope, prostitution and illegal gambling that's one thing, none of that stuff is a difficult sell to a judge for a warrant, a prosecutor for an indictment, etc.

The SC's are a bunch of deluded fools that think they're in possession of magic - there really isn't much case law that gives guidance on looking at these guys as a continuing criminal enterprise - they get nabbed here and there, and these guys are convinced they're in the right - if a bunch of fools think alike and aren't members of the cut-n-shoot club or are running dope the law really doesn't know what the hell to do with them.

This is becoming such an issue here that the northern counties are offering classes on it through the continuing professional education training for LEO's - hasn't gone violent yet, but lots of agita for city/county employees and LE.

If I owned a bank up there I'd make me a nice sign to put out front.

THIS IS NOT A SHIP!

Yeah but what if the flag has a gold fringe?
I would plan for that too. My bank flag would have what mostly looks like fringe but is actually baby pig intestines in a preserved state. Then another sign by the flag.

THESE IS CHITLINS!

Northern California and Tennessee. Okay, these are hillbilly numbskulls. A good way to deal with these jokers is to somehow turn Bigfoot against them. That has got to work.

I'm seeing more cross-pollination between religious nuts and SC's - 1 delusion + 1 delusion doesn't equal 2 delusions, it's delusional squared.

Yeah I dunno about that math, but I agree with the point.
I had long assumed that SCs were associated with white nationalism, and stemmed from the anti-government militia types in the west, but lately it seems they are becoming more racially diverse.
Does that constitute an improvement?

Bigfoot answers to no government. He's the ultimate free man on the land.

No *********** way.

I don't know if you've seen this:

Video: Woman killed by police with boy in arms was sovereign citizen with warrants in Featured, News August 2, 2016

UPDATE: The above video is from a from the traffic stop involving Korryn Gaines which led to charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. This incident and her failure to appear in court led to officers serving a warrant at her home, where she was killed by police after pointing a shotgun at them.

It is rooted in white supremacy because it comes directly from the Posse Comitatus movement. There are blacks who claim Sovereign Citizenship, but they may not realize that they cannot be Sovereigns because their citizenship was granted to them by the government. That's the deal according to the "purists" of the SovCit movement. Whites are SovCit by birth, but blacks can't be because an illegitimate government said they are and that's not legit.
