The puppet masters were planning based on zero risk. It would be quite stupid of them to use real planes. Too much could go wrong. And I have already explained why they needed thermite on one floor where the fake plane crashes happened, because they needed the collapse of each tower to start at a floor where the staged crashes happened in order to make it look convincing. The actual collapses of the towers were caused by large amounts of explosives under the basements of the towers who were designed to collapse like they did straight down in the case of a severe earthquake for safety reasons.

Ooh! I just came to think of an additional thing. They also needed fake planes as a part of forcing the U.S. government to start a cover-up! If real planes were used, then the U.S. government could do a real investigation and potentially find the original perpetrators. When forced to do a cover-up, no such real investigation is possible (at least not legally, publicly).

Which is why they used a half dozen experimental technologies (magic thermite, the cloaking systems used to conceal the thousands of workers from the buildings tenants, and various others) that have never been tested before. :rolleyes:
