I'm familiar with BodyTalk; not so much with EFT. EFT looks like it's a combination of several different woo medical practices, and based on accupressure.

BodyTalk is a fairly self-contained system, with some similarties to accupuncture and other "energy path" woo medical practices. There's a long story regarding my experiences with BT; but in short it involved a quack who claimed he could cure autism with it, and a CPS administrator who was an adherent of pseudo-science woo medicine like BT.

I had to check out this post, since I spent 13 years in "EFT", though in my case it stood for "electronic funds transfer", ie, ATM and POS cards and terminals!

They're both woo medical practices.

EFT is Emotional Freedom Technique, a synthesis of several woo medical practics based on accupressure and "relaxation" therapy (ie, "all illness is caused/exacerbated by stress").

BT is the BodyTalk System, which claims to cure by "re-synchronizing the the body's "energy circuits", usually by pressing on parts of the hands and tapping on the head to "wake up the brain", then tapping on various other parts of the body to "communicate" with them. It's so ridiculous it's hard to believe that it's not actually a parody of SCAM.
