Some Immigrants...

Wouldn’t trespassing be an offence worthy of being shot?

What a great story. I do wonder why the neighbours, who were holding the kid, didn’t lift him over the balcony. He looked like he weighed only a few kilograms.

There was a wedge between them. At best, all he could do was hold the kid's hand.

Aww shucks, we should just let them all in, right!

Is anyone denying some immigrants can be heroes or just plain old good people? Even a total a-hole might rescue a baby in distress.

Great someone rescued a child, I'm sincerely happy, but so what? Should I get all goose-pimply over it and rethink my strategy for border security on my side of the planet?

I had a great day outside today, met some great people, I'm in a great mood. Doesn't change my attitude about illegal aliens and neither does this thread. I'm not surprised at all that an illegal or drug dealer or anyone else would rescue a child.

I'm also okay that he got a pass for doing so. That's just one guy. How about the woman here who taped cocaine beneath her kids clothes and tried to smuggle them in? F'n hero.

Why turn it into a race issue?

Yeah, but maybe he doesn't want to be a fireman. Does he have to be a fireman now? Sounds like a dangerous job!

He's accepted the job with the Paris Fire Brigade. Apparently up till now he was sleeping on the floor of a shed and unable to work legally, so this is good.

Given that the French unemployment rate has been hovering between 9 and 11 percent since 2010 and the youth unemployment rate has been over 20 percent in that same period of time, I am sure he is very happy to have a stable job like that.
