Solve this crime!

Seems like fairly sensible policing. Lock them up on the easiest charge to make stick and build your case on the other charges.

I wonder if they found the body or if they got one of the suspects to tell them the location?

And they're toast.

Or they have the worst luck in the history of the world. Finding the dead body of the person who's car and debit card you were found in possession of being found along the route to your destination is pretty damning circumstantial evidence.

OK and they found the body maybe because one of them squealed. Now it's going to be a question of which of the two is the dominant one. It's still possible only one could be guilty of murder, so much to be gained by blaming the other guy.

Another 99% sure it was the male... Possibly the female understands the need to kill the victim more then the male.... But either way, seems very clear cut.

Actually, anglolawyer's arguments from the first page of the thread have finally swayed me. I am now more than ever convinced that they are innocent, and are being railroaded.

Isn't it a little bit suspicious that the authorities conveniently found the body after they had located the "obvious" suspects?

This is hot off the presses and even has a couple of candidates for (possible) railroading.

There are interesting details:

and the two in custody seem like unsavoury types:

So they must be guilty.
I'm confused, a woman goes missing (and now found dead I take it from the above post) and two people are caught driving her stolen car in another province and you think they are in danger of being railroaded?

I don't see any smiley. So if, They had found the body and then They located the obvious suspects, what would you have said?

I admit that reality is starting to congeal into the form conceived by the less imaginative posters here :D. Good to be skeptical though! Maybe there are still some twists and turns yet.

I say it was the boyfriend and the professor. Their behavior was just so suspicious. My theory is that the boyfriend, the professor and the two roommates all killed her together in a sex game gone wrong.

Well, the two in custody certainly don't come across like criminal masterminds, so it seems likely they left their DNA (and other forensic evidence) all over the crime scene.

There was no abortive search in the last. They just didn't notice the human femur propping up the back fence when they found the bodies in the out house! :D

It's true thought that the cops are crap at finding bodies in confined spaces .
Amazing what some wallpaper can cover isn't it? And don't forget pressuring the men working in the house to change their story about there not being a body in the wash-house.

And in Crippen's case multiple police searches failed to find any bodily remains until Dew and Mitchell dismissed the searchers and them amazingly found the "incriminating" human tissue.

Bet the BF is involved. 3 months pregnant. Ignores Valentines day....no wait that should have gotten him killed...never mind.
:) Hmm. If this was CSI he'd be the second suspect after the obvious pair were eliminated by some chance observation.

Certainly, the most obvious solution is the one being hinted at in this article:
Well there's Darryl Leroux. He'd be the third suspect on CSI, then the big reveal would show it was his wife/husband/gf/SO/partner. Or possibly possessive student.

And they're toast.

Meh, mere circumstantial evidence. Maybe they found her dead and just disposed of the corpse?

I think it was Professor Leroux's <insert relationship term here> who was also screwing the victim's bf and used him for an alibi.
Or maybe I'm watching far too much CSI/Midsomer Murders/CDI Banks/Silent Witness/Gently/Elementary....................

One might wonder at what point holding suspicions of confirmation bias actually betrays a confirmation bias.

Meanwhile, and at the risk of creeping people out, condolences to Loretta Saunders' family and friends. May she rest in peace.

I couldn't help but be sad when they found the body even though I was 99% sure that she was dead beforehand.
