So who's sleep deprived?

Most every night at TAM I said (paraphrased):

"It's 2:30am, people. We can sleep when we're dead."

I've had two hours sleep on average. Dying...

But it's been worth it, except for the being so ill this morning I nearly had to cancel my paper :D

Wednesday night was 3-4 hours. Thursday night was 0 hours. Friday night was 3 hours. Saturday night was 3.5 hours.

Sunday night was Amazing.

The ride back home is a blurry haze. This morning I overslept two hours.

Well, I've got an almost 5 month old who is NOT sleeping thru the night yet but has gotten his first cold, so what do you think?

*damned braggin about going to TAM-ers*

I find not eating breakfast after sleeping in, lots of water, and a couple of no-doze, is the best recipe for me in recovering from the self induced TAM6 sleep deprivation syndrome.

What is the meaning of this word "sleep"?

Well... half your brain says **** this and disappears. The rest of it, which evolved from some sort of weird prehistoric age that existed before clear thoughts and sanity was invented, ignores all sensory input and just makes **** up.

Basically, it's the same as NOT sleeping and staying up all night drinking. But it's FREE, much crazier and healthier and you don't wake up with a hangover or STDs.

Today's typical conversation:

Cow-orker:You look tired.
Me:Yeah, I just got back from Vegas.
C:Must've had a late flight last night.
M:No, I JUST got back. As in this morning.
C: :jaw-dropp

I went out to photograph the urban lights/water (w/big DSLR and big lenses and small tripod). Was out from 12mid to 3am shooting the Strip. Only got hit on by 1.5 prostitutes. Don't know if I'm losing it or never had it. Oh wait; I'm a 43 yr-old single dude. Question answered.

I bet the .5 was the one that hangs out in front of O'Shea's.

What does the OP refer to when mentioning "sleep deprived" because it's all relative. I work nights so being up at 2am and 5am is normal for me, I just don't stay up listening to people talk for a half hour during the daytime when I'd be in bed so 20ish hours straight waking days is odd for me, but not for the reason you 9-5ers might think.

That said, when I hear about doctors or interns pulling 36 hour shifts I think that's crazy... but when I hear about people getting more than 5 hours of sleep a night at Amaz!ng functions I think that's certifiably insane.

My drive home from the airport was longer than my flight to Denver. Was okay except for the last seven miles. That's when I started to dodge things in the road that weren't really there.

You have it, phyz.

I just think the 1.5 prostitutes are looking for something other than what you have--namely, the predatory/hungry/desperate look and a fat wallet.
