So what form does the resistance take?

Since this has been such a contentious issue in this thread: A couple of Republicans (one of them with a MAGA hat) and former Republicans.
Why Republicans Came to a Bernie Sanders Rally (Bernie Sanders on YouTube, April 22, 2025 - 2:50 min.)
We asked Republicans in Bakersfield, CA about why they decided to come out for our Fighting Oligarchy rally. Here’s what they had to say
And some (mainly) Democrats:
We Went To A Bernie Rally. We Didn't Find Who You'd Expect. (More Perfect Union on YouTube, April 10, 2025 - 9:03 min.)
Bernie Sanders is drawing the largest crowds he's ever seen, and an upcoming rally in LA could be his biggest yet. We went to Denver to see why tens of thousands of people across the political spectrum want to fight oligarchy.

Once again the BBC is downplaying the size of the anti-Trump protests by saying that thousands took to the streets when in truth it was hundreds of thousands or millions.
If legacy media had done its job, we might not have had Dump 2.0 to begin with. ◊◊◊◊ them.

How well do you think this post will age?
Fairly well because it's not making any assertions about Trump's future behaviour.

Of course I suppose we could find that a US citizen has already been deported "by mistake".

If that's the case then I foresee that if they're a naturalized citizen then the claim will be made that they're not really a citizen unless they're a citizen by birth and if they're a citizen by birth then the claim will be made that birthright citizenship should not be automatic.

If someone has to jump through that many disingenuous hoops to defend their post, it didn’t age well.

I will consider considering that excuse when there is no question of whether the "mistake" coincides with racial or ethnic profiling.

Doesn't matter if they were citizens or not. When they start sending citizens off to concentration camps you know the fascism apologists will still defend, deny, and obfuscate.

Modified for our time:

'First they came for the asylum seekers, and I praised Dump for handling the border crisis!
Then they came for the America-born brown people, and I laughed about liberal tears!
Then they came for the LGBTQ+ teens, and I celebrated the end of groomers and the trans agenda!
Then I joined a fascist militia!
Then we came for the...

Don't make assumptions. Especially not malicious ones.
Hey you were clear that the extrajudicial murders, the rounding up of socialists and union leader into concentration camps is not enough in your view to justify assassinating Hitler. It is only when they started going after the jews in earnest that they cleared your bar.

It is an outrage, but, frankly, I think you seem to think that only right wing governments do this sort of evil thing. History disagrees.

Trump has not deported any U.S. citizen.

WASHINGTON, April 25 (Reuters) - The Trump administration appeared to have deported a 2-year-old U.S. citizen "with no meaningful process," a federal judge said on Friday, as the child's father sought to have her returned to the United States.

U.S. District Judge Terry A. Doughty said the girl, who was referred to as "V.M.L." in court documents, was deported with her mother.

“It is illegal and unconstitutional to deport, detain for deportation, or recommend deportation of a U.S. citizen,” Doughty said.

Has the line been crossed now?

I guess this judge will soon end up in prison.
