Skepticism and IQ

I tried. It ended after about 5 or 6 questions and my score was 80.

So the test cut you off after 5 or 6 questions? Like it could tell you were punching random buttons and just ended it?

You're over one standard deviation below my score. And it's what I would expect from a legit test.

If I got lucky, WTF? Why now and not in Vegas? So not fair. :(

Wow that was tedious! 130.

Agreed. Same result on that one, although it seemed to be a highly visually based test versus measuring other aspects. As others have stated, I am highly skeptical of these tests.

And I have had wildly varying scores (of you consider a 30 point range wild) with this one being on the lower end of the scale... Although I must admit that towards the end, I just got frustrated with the repetitive and tedious nature and just clicked to get to the end...

As I said before, according to the author, "I've added the 5 consecutive misses’ rule for stopping the scoring."

That is a feature in a lot of tests. The items are progressively harder and the scoring stops after a criterion number of items are missed.

Granted, I've taken a lot of such tests in my days. It's still about the same as the latest one I did, last year:

I tried searching any credentials of the test's author, but got buried in promotional results for the site itself.
