Shameless Joe Nickel

Again, for the second or third time, I'm not talking about TM yogic flying and never have. That's you doing it, not me. I would appreciate it if you didn't go so far afield and stick to the topic at hand; Shameless Joe's ludicrous explanation. What do you think of his explanation; ludicrous or reasonable?

Nickell invoked Newton's Third Law as a counter to the claims of levitation.
Do you consider this law to be ludicrous?
For the second or third time, if you link to a video in your OP, it's not unreasonable to expect it to be discussed. If you didn't want this to happen, poerhaps you should have picked a different one, more specifically one that doesn't undermine your own argument. The yogis are an exact example of what Nickell was talking about. This is exactly the topic, and I won't allow you to arbitrarily restrict it, especially if you won't explain why this should be accepted.
Debunkers’ Law of the Bantered Semantic™ – quibbling over subtle differences and interpretations of a word or a phrase as a way to avoid the main topic.

Please specify which word or phrase you think I'm "quibbling" over.

Nonsensical question.

Stick to the topic at hand, Shamelss Joe's absurd attempt at debunking the Flying Friar. What do you think of his attempt. You already know how I feel. Let's hear it from you.

Begging the question or well poisoning. You want us to accept that his explanation is absurd, but it clearly isn’t; the video you linked to shows TM Yogis demonstrating a physical feat passed off as supernatural.

Nickell’s explanation is reasonable and jibes with what we see today.

Wasn't Byron's swimming a lake "just for the heck of it" considered something remarkable as late as the 18th Century? 500 years before any extreme (by current standards) physical activity, particularly among a group not well known for hard physical exertion, might have easily been looked at with awe and then embellished in the telling. The only problem I see with Joe Nickell is that he underestimated the stupidity of his audience.

"Shameless Joe Nickel" sounds like something starring David Spade that I'll never get around to watching.
Or a country song, maybe one of those partly spoken ones. Old Shameless Joe he teased the Friar, and said you can't take flight. Just step outside, the Friar said, and sailed off in the night. Now Shameless Joe sits on his stool and drinks both night and day, and rants to those who listen still, I saw the trebuchet!

or something.
