A Republican candidate with a close association in the past to someone who was a former Klan member would be "irrelevant"?

As we have yet to see any action of Obama that speaks to a communist mindset....yeah it is settled that he most certainly is not.

It might be somewhat relevant though that alone won't mean that candidate is racist. What is more relevant is that candidate's own actual history of actions.

No they are not. Obama choose his own ideological friends--with the exception of Frank Marshal Davis who was picked for Obama by his grandfather.

From the memoir:

Obama chose the people he was ideologically in tune with.

So the memoir is 100% accurate when you can derive something you want to out of it, but it's completely fraudulent otherwise.
 
If Obama is a Socialist because he may have, in the past, hung out with Socialists, then I am an Imperial Stormtrooper, as I hang out with Imperial Stormtroopers.

When that quote was place in the book by Team Obama and Ayers, they at the time were planning Obama’s career as a Chicago politician certainly not as President. They were trying to appeal to their radical base.

Even if it is accurate that doesn't mean your interpretation is. Perhaps, rather than hanging out with those he was in tune with, he was seeking out unfamiliar and/or conflicting viewpoints and philosophies in an attempt to learn stuff. Some people do that in college.

It might help if you understand that "left" "socialist" "liberal" and "communist" have distinct meanings.

If I actually believed this tripe, I would not celebrate the idea that Obama was a communist just because I'm a liberal.
