"Our movement" in 8 days? Not bad going! Did you get a membership card when you joined this "movement" just last week? I dont think too many around here subscribe to being in any kind of "movement".
The name of the forums?

I nominate olie at the 9/11 Troof Movement forum for this wonderful insight:

Before going into all those Nist type calculations You should have applied common sense . - Find out how exactly they were built , --> that B 767- 200 was 3,000 times less in mass than the building and 10 more fragile than average car , --> that its maximum speed could NOT have been higher than 250 mph (otherwise it would have fallen apart before reaching the 'target) and . . . realize , that any of these towers could have taken 10 , 20 or 30 of those boings from any side at any height and remain standing . . .

linky

I didn't realize airlines still use planes made from sticks and canvas.

ETA: Wow, that thread has potential. Christophera, Heiwa and psikeyhackr.

It's not as good as some of the other nominations, but I have to share this and its delicious lack of comprehension about the power of a tornado:

Or when some people hear a train it is actually coming. Hopefully you will be not on the rails when you tell your comrades "Hey its just a tornado".

"Just" a tornado?

Grandiose Paranoia Award:

The funny thing is that I'm betting this thread has every been linked to in every e-mailing list known to man higher up in the gub'mint. They are probably getting a kick out of the in-fighting.

No, I'm fairly sure it's just us.

Okay, this one's a bit long, but:

OMG! Brianv has figured out that a lot of people of European descent have Biblically inspired names! This surely must mean something!!!!

I propose that we just give honorary Stundie awards to all the participants on that thread so we won't have to see any of their vile stupidity in the finals.

Anybody want to second the motion?

Here is one that I find somewhat dumb.

This is from, suprise suprise, 911movement.org.
Context? He doesn't believe NIST's conclusions on steel and fire.

Metal is resilient. A steel shaft can be bent to a point but it will still return to it's original shape. This is an easy phenomenon to observe in metal springs. A steel shaft has to bend so far before it will be distorted past a point of no return. It is an easy observation to confirm that metal shafts can withstand great forces with respect to their size.

WTF?? So, we can bend a steel shaft, and it will just bounce back like a spring. Something tells me his understanding of steel is somewhat lacking.

Someone really should tell all those electricians to make sure when they bend conduit to make sure they don't spring back after they take the pipe-bender off of it.

HILARIOUS!!

He then goes on to talk about hammers and such. Something tells me that he shouldn't be anywhere NEAR a construction site.

No, because to some people, its just not funny. I find nothing funny about spitting on the face of people's decesed relatives to further some BS agenda.

It's ****ing disgusting.

Horatious gets a sort of pass, as his comic was true and funny. But, he was not supporting it, just making fun of it.

Seriously, has anyone ever met anyone who believes David Copperfield really does have magical powers?

Dave

This guy does. Although I haven't met him, I've seen the details of his patent application (yes, it was denied) in which, for some inexplicable reason, he included copies of the lawsuits he filed against David Copperfield and David Blaine, claiming they are wrongfully using his supernatural powers and passing them off as mere illusion.

It is said the universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it's stranger than we can imagine. Sometimes you don't even have to leave the surface of the planet to prove this.

Most of you have been on this road before, you have been presented with the evidence. You have read reports by NIST and the opposition, you have seem videos of the collapses, you have read about flight 77 and the inability of any jet fighters intercept it. You have seen time and time again the collapse of the towers. The problem is not in the evidence, the problem is with you. Either you refuse to see the obvious and think for yourself, or you take your wayward patriotic fantasies and protect the very people that allowed this to happen. Remember, the problem is with you, it lies nowhere else.

See the bolded... that is my nomination. (underline and cursive are mine to point out the core.)

Steel is elastic (meaning it will return from a deformed shape to its original shape when the load is removed) only in a very small range. Nothing anywhere near what was happening during the collapses. Kind of silly that he tries to compare hammering a nail to the collapses.

Ok, just out of curiosity, and you can PM if you would like. Could you, in theory, bend a piece of WTC steel, and have it spring back?? How faar before it became permanant??

Thanks.

Using steel pipes for wires in house installations went out of fashion before I started my apprenticeship. Nowadays we use plastic pipes and bend them by hand after sticking a spring inside to prevent collapse/buckling. [/nitpick]

At 6.14.4 they say "the building section above came down essentially in free fall" without apparently thinking that a rather odd observation, considering the sequential ripple down nature of the conversion of the potential energy of the top load into kinetic energy explosiveness. What is the sound of one hand clapping? Why was the top load not gradually consumed in mutually annihilating explosiveness events at the impact boundary? Perhaps it just accumulated mass like some kind of indestructible gathering snowball of a hammer load!

Uh, yeah, duh:boggled:

May not be a Stundie, but certainly a "wtf?"

Context: phaeton666 tells his fellow truthers on 9/11 movement forum that he has notified Pres. Obama about one of the WTC "vicsims" who appears to be a fake person:

I just alerted President Obama to my research regarding Yesh M. Tembe at http://www.deeppoliticsforum.com/forums/sh...read.php?t=2213

Let's hope nobody will be dying because of this.

Quote from his post on the www.deeppoliticsforum.com board:

In all searches I never found any document from before 9/11.

Yesh M. Tembe did not exist before 9/11, died on 9/11 and lived 8 years after 9/11.

I am informing the president of the United States and the General Secretary of the UN. Help us God.

God? Really? God? What the hell does he think is going to happen that needs the help of God? (Or is this an invocation for God to assist their "mission"?)

To be fair, they certainly do need help of a sort.

Who wants to bet, though, that all his searches involved Google, Bing, and Yahoo?
