"SEND HER BACK!" Will they defend this?

It's all idiotic.

It's all idiotic, but it's not all comparable.

On the one hand, a minor celebrity threatened to leave the country and didn't. Big friggin' deal.

On the other hand, the president of the US said that four legislators ought to go back where they came from, evidently to the nations of their ancestors or something, because they hate the US. This is despicable, especially coming from a position of authority. It suggests that differences of political opinion are signs that the opposition hates the US and ought not to be here.

I can't see a reasonable person suggesting that the two utterances ("Go back to where you came from" and "I'll leave") are comparable in the least nor that the stature of the persons (the president and a minor celebrity) are comparable either. Indeed, you only mentioned Lena Dunham in a fairly sad attempt to suggest that these two events are about the same, so liberals are about the same as Trump.

Right. Just like it's blatant racism to tell a white person to leave if they don't like it.

Is it mere coincidence that these four Congresswomen and Cummings happen to be minorities? When did Trump ever say that a white person came from a rat-infested place and ought to go back and fix it? Are all the white folk in Congress simply fortunate in that respect?

I don't think this rises to the level of proof that Trump is motivated by racism, but that is certainly probable, far as I'm concerned.

Taken in isolation it mightn't be proof, but highly indicative. Although I struggle to think of a more archetypal racist chant than "Go back to where you came from".

There's plenty of Trump's other statements that if one had been *extremely* charitable, might not be racist, but taken with this, I think it's pretty obvious.

It's even more obvious that Trump is happy with the support of open racists.

Clinton was not running on a platform of bigotry in 2016. I presume you are referring to her 1996 "superpredator" comment, for which she has since apologised.

It's one comment, not a lifetime of filthy bigotry like Trump and his supporters.

"Trump: Hate has no place in our country"

I hope this means the disgusting son of a pig ****** bitch and his filthy magascum are packing to leave.

Even in this situation, Trump couldn't stop himself from lying about how his administration has already done "so much," "more than any other administration," but now he's going to wave his magic wand and fix everything. **** this self-licking turd.
