Rand Paul's actions today were a lot less idiotic than the security theater performed by the TSA every day.
As I read it, he wanted to go back through the scanner, and they wanted to do a pat down.I don't know why you're attacking him rather is it possible to attack the message? Airport security is beyond ridiculous. There's no reason for full body scanning. Just sayin'!!

Interesting observation.
What do you believe the correct level of security checking is?
Off the top of my head, removing your shoes and confiscating all liquids (which now apparently includes cupcakes) are a couple of "security" items at the gate we could do without. I also think it's reasonable for anyone (not just senators) to request a second scan before submitting to a pat down.
i dont see the point if they still let you bring a quart size bag of bottles of liquid anywayInterestingly, the confiscation of liquids is one of the ones that I find more sensible.
I have yet to see any evidence (beyond that of assertion by DHS & Co) that the increased TSA hoop-jumping over the past couple of years has actually improved security.
my keychain protects me from gorilla attacksThe evidence is the fact that there hasn't been a successful terror attack on an aircraft.

He didn't want them to confiscate his personal nuclear device that all libertarians carry with them, purchased from ebay.
