I'd just like to say a hearty, "**** you," to all of you for making the fact that I can't make it even more disappointing.
Now, if Dr. A can get to future TAMs that I'll be at, maybe I'll forgive the lot of you, but for now, you're ********.
Dr. A, I'll try to send my hug for you via someone that isn't Penn-sized(coughElSpectrecough)
I just hope you won't all be disappointed when you find that I don't actually bestride the earth like a colossus, that the ground doesn't quake beneath my feet, and that my words are not accompanied by dramatic meterological phenomena. I have occcasionally been described as "cute", and you may have to settle for that.
Normal Dude has decided that he can put up with me, smoke and all. Problem solved.I've got an offer to be my room-mate, which is obviously good since it will defray the expenses of the Secret Cabal.
The trouble is, this particular offer comes attached with the proviso that I can't smoke in the room. If this is the only offer I get, then of course I will take it, but I'd prefer someone who is smoke-tolerant.
Now, to make it clear, I am a smoker and also a chronic insomniac. You really don't want to room with me. If that is understood ... any takers?
Otherwise, as I say, I already have an offer, it'll just make me slightly more testy and irritable than is my natural state.
The question has been raised as to whether the rooms at the Flamingo Hotel have balconies. This would obviate the problem, so does anyone know?
Is there something I don't know?Dr. A. said:I have occcasionally been described as "cute", and you may have to settle for that.
Being your own roommate really doesn't help, sir.I've got an offer to be my room-mate, which is obviously good since it will defray the expenses of the Secret Cabal.
That should be downright amusing.Otherwise, as I say, I already have an offer, it'll just make me slightly more testy and irritable than is my natural state.
You and a normal dude. Excellent combination!Normal Dude has decided that he can put up with me, smoke and all. Problem solved.
In the first place, the day has not yet come when it's too late to say nice things about me. They will have to bury me first, and then drive a stake through my heart so's I don't rise from the dead to ask you how you liked my poem.Damn, I found this thread too late.
In the second place, it is not too late: see here. The generosity that has been pured out on me has overflowed to others.
I feel kind of pleased about that, too.
