Well he did appoint a super-religious jesus freak that lost his senate seat to a corpse to be Attorney General. How much of a jerk does someone have to be when over 50% of voters would prefer a cadaver over him? Ashcroft has prayer breakfasts and prayer circles all the time, xians get preferential treatment in the administration because they are at the prayer breakfast & circles sucking up to them.

Cool, I have been waiting to hear from someone with pre-2001 Ashcroft experience. How bad of a senator was he? Did he say and do as many stupid things back then as he does now?

Actually, I don't really recall what prompted me to vote against him. I wasn't (and can't really say I am now) overly interested in politics. I was in Grad school at the time and I think I was upset with something to do with a student issue.
