Split Thread Scorpion's Spiritualism

Scorpion, I understand about wishing you hadn't begun taking the Abilify. However, there are other, newer medications that I hope you will look into. Please, don't do the electricity on yourself. Please. You have other options. Be honest with your doctor, and explore those options.

Thanks. I think my brain has become conditioned to depend on abilify as I stopped the drug for a month last year, and I ended up in a bad way. So I will have to keep taking it for now.

Thanks. But electroacupuncture machines are commonly on sale, and are considered safe as long as you do not have a heart problem, and as long as you do not pass a current directly through your heart. or brain. I think I am fairly safe passing a low voltage of up to 80 volts across my stomach. Considering that I was contemplating 75,000 volts from a wimshurst machine.

There are also chainsaws for sale, That doesn't make them inherently safe.

Electricity is not a toy.

Well, I have now tried passing a low voltage through my stomach to see if I could dislodge obsessing entities. I do not know what voltage or current I applied, as the electroacupuncture device does not come with much documentation, but I could quite distinctly feel the charge. It pulsed for a couple of seconds in a cycle lasting for ten minutes. I was hoping to feel some movement in my stomach as entities tried to escape the charge, but I did not. I do not know if the voices have gone as I only usually hear them at night in bed when it is very quiet. But frankly I do not think it likely I have got rid of them. So if not I will try a twenty minute session at a higher voltage tomorrow.

In the meantime I have found a very interesting unpublished book on electrical healing.

You passed an unknown voltage with an unknown current through an unknown resistance! That is not something that someone "qualified in Television and electronics and microprocessors" would do, especially when its a human body.
Maybe you won't electrocute yourself, but you have no idea what damage you might be doing to your internal organs which are being subjected to this unknown procedure. The arrogance you display is astounding.

Look Andy Kauf-- I mean, "Scorpion", you are suffering from symptoms of mental illness that can be treated far more effectively and humanely in 2019 than was possible in 1969. The only way the electric mumbo-jumbo you might be messing around with could help relieve those symptoms would be if they caused your premature demise.

This is assuming, of course, that any shred of anything you describe is in any way true. If you really believe the things you write here (e.g., that you are mentally ill, that you put any stock in astral beings, etc.), can you explain why you see fit to share these stories here at the International Skeptics Forum? You are evidently impervious to rational thought and you're certainly not convincing anyone here of your firehose of idiotic claims, so what's the objective? If you really want to discuss spiritual healing or whatever, why not do so at Gullibles–R–Us or something where you'd be presumably interacting with like-wrong-minded people?

I have often wondered this as well. As another poster said, the arrogance and narcissism is astounding. It truly makes me sad that fake mediums have had such an impact on someone so vulnerable, to such an extent, that they are willing to endanger their own lives rather than take advantage of true medicine. The only reason that I can see being that the doctors and medicine takes his "super powers" away when properly medicated.

There's an interesting (to me anyway) parallel to people who believe that their homes are haunted and that they are being 'terrorised ' by ghosts. They love to get the self proclaimed 'ghost hunters' and mediums in to save them from their 'nightmare', or tell them spooky stories, but won't accept it when someone investigates properly rather than waving around instruments they don't understand, and points out things like old ducting, tree branches, rodents etc that explain the origins of the phenomena they've been building up in their heads. Everyone wants to feel special and it's hard to get over that, all of us who held woo beliefs at some point in the past (and it's a big majority) know that.

Good questions.
As I said the source of the idea you can drive out astral entities was the former president of the spiritualist association, his name was Thomas Johansson and he gave a lecture on the subject in the 1970s at the spiritualist headquarters in London. I wrote to him asking how the charge of static electricity could be safely applied, but he never answered me. So I am left to draw my own conclusions. It comes down to experimenting on my own to see if I can clear my voices with static. I have no information on how much of a charge it takes to electrocute astral entities. I do not care where they go if I get rid of them. I do not think they are evolved enough to get angry with me and I don't give a damn if they do. I would be quite pleased if I hurt them.
I have read that wimshurst machines will not kill, but a shock can be painful.

I have not seen a doctor or psychiatrist for years, and I obviously would not tell them what I plan, although I might want to tell them if it is successful. But they obviously would not believe me.
I hate to ask, but does it not bother you that you don't know how this machine is supposed to work, whether there is any actual evidence, or how much electricity it runs through your body?

People are so sceptical to "Big Pharma" these days, but for some reason it seems many of them at the same time take everything conspiracy theorists, alternative media outlets, and alternative practicioners say at face value. It's weird.

Oh boy! Yes you are telling me it's weird.:boggled:

Scorpion should be careful messing around with his chi.

Chi

The vital force believed in Taoism and other Chinese thought to be inherent in all things. The unimpeded circulation of chi and a balance of its negative and positive forms in the body are held to be essential to good health in traditional Chinese medicine.

Interesting the way the alternative medicine people embrace these vague ideas, implying something beyond our scientifically obtained knowledge, but then use machinery provided by scientifically obtained knowledge, to secure a cure.

Scorpion is going to drive out astral entities by passing electricity through his body, or is it by statically charging his body? Seems to be some confusion here. The Chinese have been playing around with this stuff for a long time now but it's chi they are after not astral entities. Now we have electrically charged acupuncture needles being used to give chi a hard time, but Scorpion seems to think astral entities are going to get some hurry up also.

I read that we can have a static electricity charge as high as 50,000 volts at times. I can believe this, as I have experienced an electric charge high enough, to throw a spark a few mm long, between my fingers and a car door handle. I wonder how the astral entities cope?

Has it been explained to us yet how astral entities are affected by electricity?

Tom Johanson said in his lecture that entities feel static electricity like fire. He did not say anything about conventional low voltage from electroacupuncture machines, but there is mention of that in a book I am expecting to be delivered today. I have already tried passing a low voltage across my stomach but it did not work. I can still hear faint whispering voices in my ears. Which begs the question, am I going to try a large static charge when my wimshurst machine finally arrives. I think it is coming from China by ship.

I dare say the consensus of opinion on this forum is that I am insane, delusional, and gullible. But actually I will always accept facts if I can prove them. For example I went to two separate so called psychic artists. Coral Polge, and Ivor James.
I went to Coral Polge, the wife of Tom Johanson three times. and she did three drawings of people I did not recognise, so I gave up going.
As for Ivor James, he did a drawing with some supposed Japanese writing on it and said it was my Japanese spirit guide. So I took it to the Japanese embassy to ask them what the writing said, and they said it was scribble that looked like someone pretended to write Japanese. I also saw Ivor do a drawing for a girl, that he said was the face of Jesus.
From that I concluded he was probably a fake as he drew a conventional looking white Jesus.

Its to late to ask him, he died.
What sort of answer would you have considered sufficient, if he had lived long enough to give you one?

Please think about this question seriously, Scorpion. How would it have been possible to know what this person claimed to know? By examining the entrails of a freshly slaughtered goat? By listening to what the voices in his head told him? By doing an experiment?

He claimed he had removed a number of entities from people by using a wimshurst machine. But he said it was pointless because the vulnerability of the mental patients he dealt with meant they would be obsessed by entities again by the time they reached the end of the street.

He and his wife Coral Polge both claimed psychic abilities. Presumably they could see spirits, and talk to them to gain information.

What about any of that did you find sufficiently convincing that you actually thought it worth spending good money on two pieces of expensive equipment, and why?

I have had in mind the possibility that there might be entities in my stomach that whisper to me since the 1970's lecture I attended. This seems to me to be as likely an explanation for the voices as any other. I would certainly pay money for equipment that might get rid of them. I can often feel unusual activity in my stomach that seems more than the digestive process. In fact if I wave my hands over my stomach several inches to a foot above it. I can feel in my palms some kind of electrical field moving around.
I do not know if everyone can feel this. Try it yourself and let me know.

Ya ! I am not so crazy after all, I have just received my book from amazon called ' rapid entity attachment release' by Athanasios Komianos and I have already found references to several psychiatrists who have been practicing spirit release.

Dr Alan Sanderson, see the pdf link below.

https://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/docs/defa...psig/sanderson_19_11_03.pdf?sfvrsn=a9662a53_2

There is also a book called 'the unquiet dead' by Dr Edith Fiore which I may now purchase.

I have now read in my book that Dr Carl Wickland did not leave any notes on how he applied static to his patients but there was a Dr Dylan Morgan who carried on the work, and apparently subjected his patients to ten minutes of charge at a time. The book still does not say how to safely apply the charge, but I will find out all I can before risking a high voltage shock.
