Scientology Price List 2011

You clicked on the wwwdotscribddotcom link when you got that warning?

I got no warning - and as far I know, Scribt does virus checks for uploaded material, no?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scribd

When I clicked on the link I got one of those annoying "Scanning Your PC we have found nasties" - Psuedo anti Spyware/virus things.
I closed it as quick as I could.
Definitely dodgy.

Well, "closing as quickly as possible" usually is too late anyway. But my guess is that it's either your firewall or there already is some malware on your computer.

Also ... InternetExplorer?

Of course they have them that's who went back and trained Hubbard.

:D

And no they wouldn't change anything to avoid the problems because they were opportunities for personal and organizational growth.:covereyes

That's certainly true according to the "scientology-stats.zip"... ;)

As I said, it's a dodgy advert for malware not an infection, and I'm not the only one who's had a potential issue on this thread flagged with that link here. Coincidence?
I don't think so.
Even "legit" sites can get occasional problems with ads served automatically. By the time the rogue ad has been noticed, it's gone.
The next time I visit it's Ok - I can see now that scribd are serving random ads for each visit.

Anyway, now maybe I can watch the video.

I recently watched Men Who Stare at Goats for the 2nd time... and it reminds me a LOT of Scientology's fixation with super-powers.

I'd imagine that Tom Cruise is an expert in Sparkly Eyes technique, as well as Cloud Bursting. Amazing stuff, really.

$cientology super-power #7:
A Scientologist is bulletproof!

…one might go so far as to say that a bullet's arrival is a heavy
sort of hypnotism.
The individual receiving a bullet does not outflow
a bullet and thus he is injured. If he could outflow a bullet
immediately after receiving a bullet, we could introduce the
interesting question: "Would he be wounded?" According to our rule he
would not be.
Indeed, if he were in perfect communication with his
environment, he could not even receive a bullet injuriously…

They charge these high prices and they get away with charitable status in the UK (City of London and Sunderland) and the ordinary public has to make up the shortfall in revenues collected through higher income tax, VAT etc.. In effect, we subsidise this cult.
