Someone at ebaums found this hilarious video, that I KNOW will be appreciated here. I did a search and it doesn't seem to have been posted already.

Briefly, some scientologist webmaster found Andreas Heldal-Lund, webmaster of the anti-scientology site Xenu.net, and apparently tried to ambush him with a camera and a debate. Andreas then proceeds to calmly destroy him in said debate.

I've only watched 10 minutes so far, but it looks to be gold.

Girlfriend: Religiousfreedomwatch. That whole site. Those are lies about me. They are absolute lies.
Scientology guy: You prove to me that that's the case.
Girlfriend: There's nothing to prove. You prove to me that it's true.
Scientology guy: We don't have that obligation.
Andreas: You can say whatever you want and not prove anything because I have to prove it's wrong. So I can go on to say that you were doing incest, because I don't have to prove it. You have to prove I'm wrong. Is that your logic?
Scientlogy guy: (legitimately stands with mouth agape)...I'm saying don't put lies on the internet.

Andreas: How much did you check the personal information that you put out about me?
Scientology guy: It's checked.
Andreas: To what degree?
SG: This isn't your interview, this is my interview.
Andreas: Okay. Next question.
SG: I don't have any next question.

SG: You're too philosophical. You're giving me a headache. You ask too many questions.

Andreas: I get daily proof that it's having an effect. And the effect that I hope. People get informed of both sides and they make an educated decision. And that's great.
SG: But I think that's a bad effect. Because it's people receiving something negative, and something that in my opinion, shouldn't be there.
Andreas: Then you're against free speech.
SG: No no.

SG: How do you explain that we are so many? That there is spectacular growth?
Andreas: Define many. Define growth.
SG: I don't know.

Andreas: I don't care if people go into Scientology. I honestly don't care. But I do care about when they are lied to. And what you say is sacred because it's religious is deceiving and lying to people. When people come into Scientology...Scientology is compatible with other religions? Sorry, that's BS. Because we know, when you get higher up the grade, it says there is no God. Jesus was just an implant. It says in Hubbard's text.
SG: I'm not going to address that.

Mark Bunker at xenutv.com is also skilled at handling these creeps. If you dont respond to the "bull baiting" as they call it then they are dead in the water.
 
That was wonderful! Polite, friendly throughout, and tore every argument to shreds.

At the end, where SG absolutely refused to fix altered photographs of Andreas that he has posted on his site, was a perfect summation of their attitude towards truth, and of persecuting non-scientologists who dare to speak up.
 
It was fascinating that the SGers arguments consisted of "you're posting our copywritten sacred texts" and "why are you going after bigger fish?"

It's also hilarious the way he starts to contradict his own statements. Why the hell would you challenge someone like that if you hadn't thought things through? I guess the fact that he's a devoted scientologist answers that question already.
 
It's great - fantastic entertainment.

Only thing I don't get, is why it says "Andreas is grilled by the webmaster of a site which smears critics of Scientology" (if you click to reveal the full description). Maybe it's just me thinking in Danish, but to me it sounds like whoever wrote that thinks the looney won!? And the clip supposedly is posted by Xenu?

I think that's a bit of sarcasm.

"Grilled", to me, is being asked hard questions that make you flustered, look bad, etc. Of course, in this interview, it doesn't appear that Andreas felt "grilled" at all.

I've been lurking for a while, now - seems like a very useful og informative place to hang out, with quite a few of my fellow Danes onboard (though I realize that since the cartoon-incident, you can't judge by flags in avatars).

The funniest thing about it is, Andreas answers the questions so thoroughly, just talking and talking. Which basically allows SG to wait for holes and then strike, but he's either too dumb to do it or just can't find any.

And if you go Andreas site Xenu.net (named after Scientology's alien-god), you can read e-mail debates where Andreas owns more scientologists, without ever being unpolite or losing his composure.

Actually, I was quite impressed with his English speaking abilities. Sure he has an obvious Norwegian accent, but he's much more fluent than the other guy :D
