Scientists wrong on Greenhouse Warming, Again.

I recall the days when Global Warming used to attract a lot of traffic. These days, not so much. Has it become uncontroversial? I suspect a tipping-point has been passed Out There. That can only mean that we are now in it. Probably deep in it.

Where's Diamond?

English vineyards again….

This is a favourite of mine (and not just because I can use my historical knowledge to bitch-slap idiots about it. That's a large part, admittedly).

"Climate change wiped out the English wine-industry" - a climate-change scare-story if ever I've seen one. Yet it's pushed by denialists. Why? because it's supposed to show that climate just does stuff. There's the historical proof, to their mind. They assign climate to be the deciding factor in various historic events in order to "demonstrate" climate variability, while at the same time trying to promote the idea that climate variability doesn't matter anyway. Dickheads. But they get away with it.

Singer is claiming that it's still not warm enough to make wine in the UK. A well-established and expanding industry notwithstanding. Which star is waiting in the wings to take over when Singer pops his clogs? It can't be long now before he dies in denial, of heatstroke hopefully.

I'm fairly sure I know why Diamond isn't coming out these days. He needs to stay in his mutually-reinforcing comfort zone. It's scary out here.
