Tip on Piers Anthony, if you like the Xanth series and you get a chance to read his short stories, DON'T. It's the rough equivalent of walking into your parents bedroom and not only catching them having sex but a full-blown S&M orgy.

Yeah, I don't even grok what you just said :boggled:. Would it need a website to be attached to? Or can it stand alone, so to speak?

The software that runs the forum needs somebody to tend it. I can do the basic stuff, but not code.

As for the forum itself, I think I can get a certain Uni to house it for me.

I can theoretically do that. I mean, I've looked at a few php forum projects, it's just I'd have to banefully spend a few days followiing the logic of the software.
 
Well. The thing is. Most forum software doesn't need a php dev to maintain it unless it breaks. I know enough to see if I can fix things, but my achillies heel is javascript.

I mean, I could actually host it. I'm just too lazy to and I'm not sure I'd get any one in it.
