I am saying most of the crap posted here is based on bigotry and ignorance of what the place is actually like when you are there. There is no doubt that the place has major issues but when they actually do something that is not backward and what is asked or expected of them the usual lot are here castigating them again. This place was basically closed soceiety back a few decades and now it is much different. I see a huge difference in the 20 years I have been going. Those usual lot here are clueless on the place and have to link to the worst of the worst about the place while attacking the good stuff.

It is a bit like the posters here up in arms about the TSA when it is blatantly obvious they have not flown for ages and it does not actually affect them.

The "War on Terror" has proven quite a useful blanket cry by which oppressive regimes the world over have crushed dissent while the west applauded them. And unless something has changed in the last year, Saudi Arabia is still heavily promoting and funding the spread of Wahhabism across the globe, so excuse me if I'm skeptical of their commitment to defeating Islamic Terrorism.

The House of Saud itself (or at least the people that matter) are not terrorists, nor even particularly devout Muslims, but they allow Wahhabism to blossom under their evil corrupt regime because it stops the masses from turning against them.
