Just so I'm sure I understand this correctly - bigfoot can hear, and is afraid of, sounds that don't seem to bother cougars, deer, bears, wolves, and all the other critters caught on trailcams.

Patty doesn't even have ears so by what means does bigfoot hear these sounds?!!

Just by virtue of the fact that ALL electronics emit "noise".

I've tried to explain this before as we do various noise dosimetry studies semi frequently.

All "matter" emits noise and has a natural frequency but now the question becomes "can it be heard" and thats relative to the capability of the listener.

In the static mode ( on stand-by- not powered down) PIR and similar evices use ceramic capacitors as switches ( to jump start the circuit when triggered as they store potential) and as such they emit noise. ( you would need hearing like a bat but in a Y/N format- noise is in fact "present")

Then circuit triggers and there is secondary noise from where components are mechanically attached ( solder joints) and boards are attached to the chassis ( usually by a screw) and this is a wee bit louder so when operating , its not out of the realm of probability that animals with exceptional hearing ( dogs, deer and such) can hear them. ( depending on the power and circuit, humans too)

Now, the question becomes: Can an animal ( primate type) as BF "hear" them.

In the stand by mode- unless BF has an ear that can hear way into the ultrasonic band like a bat- probably not

When its running ( current flowing and doing its thing)- if he were right on top of it- he would probably hear "something" ( provided it wasnt masked by various background noises)

I dont doubt a BF could "hear" the normalelectronic "hiss" coming from dither currents and hysterisis found in curcuits from a low powered DC device from a very close range but I seriously doubt he can detect if from great distances, recognize it, understand its source and hide from it

Some time back I discovered that a small addition of surfactant into a plaster slurry could produce desiccation ridges that had highly unusual characteristics.

The very first test cast I actually "dusted" with graphite powder, and "lifted" the print with clear tape. I put the tape on a "card" and kept it. It had a degree of regularity to it, but enough randomness so that one could claim it exhibited "dysplasia". In that case I had used fly ash as the substrate desiccation medium.

At the time, I had no scanner, and I eventually discarded the cast and the latent lift. I wish I had kept it, now that I have a scanner.

The process of adding just the right amount of surfactant seems tricky, but on one other occasion I had good luck:

The cast seen on my webpage does not exhibit the "dysplasia" of the first test cast.

What I'm getting at is unless you have a serious chain of custody, it's possible for even an amateur to "lift" a "latent print". I'm suggesting that there may be a GOOD REASON why the name of the police officer is not included in this story. How do we know the print is not some sort of composite of multiple prints, or any number of other things? How do we know the print was even "lifted" by a police officer?

Then again, maybe Sasquatch really did touch the glass window...

That story is fatally flawed on several levels. First, I would like to know the nature of the call that brought him out. ( hello, 911, I have a handprint the size of a basketball on my truck and a nose print the size of a softball, can you send a CSI team please?)

Then, where is the incident report? ( thats always what you need to see- if that isnt there, the story is a fabrication right there)

Anybody can get print cards ( they give them away a lot of times to doctors/hospitals etc for infant/child printing) or order/print generic ones off line.

Anybody can get printing supplies offline ( or even use baby powder and regular tape) and lift a print and depending on the tape- you can stretch the print.

Then as you say, the COC of the print card and the digital picture.

I'm just putting this in this thread because Willam Dranginis' name appeared here earlier. On Ms.Idoubtot's blog he is commenting on dowsing as a means to find water in her current post on dowsing as a scam. I assume it is him because of his references to Virginia. It would seem that bigfoot is not his only woo interest.
