Sarahsaur - a new sauropod with strong hands

A new early sauropod has been added to the lineup, from Arizona - Sarahsaur (the parent clade is actually sauropodamorpha, and includes all sauropods as well as Sarah). It is named for the philanthropist, Sarah Butler. Though a sauropod, it appears to have walked on its hind two feet and the front feet are short, but appear to have been exceptionally muscular, and clawed. Discoverer is Tim Rowe of the University of Texas at Austin.

Actually, the way I read that diagram, they weren't really sauropods. They're about as related to sauropods as dogs are related to bears or otters.

The sub-order Sauropodomorpha includes the Sauropoda infraorder, but just about everything else was bipedal. More notably the Prosauropoda were bipedal and, at a very uninformed wild guess, Sarah looks like a typical prosauropod to me.
