Yes, Clinton campaigned and put himself before the people before getting elected to the White House but that is now. When he was running, he was in the same spot she is now.

After the election, she will have ahd that opportunity to put her views and polices out there and then you can compare the two.

So we are supposed to elect an unknown and then let her prove she is qualified, and supports good positions? I don't think so

But if you look at Sarah Palin and Bill CLinton pre election, she has the same level of experience he does except she is not a lawyer.

Less than 2 years running the 47th largest state, population 683,000 vs. 12 years running the 32nd largest state (1979-1981 and 1983-1992), population 2,835,000. You call that the same level of experience? :boggled:

Oh, and that "except the lawyer" thing. It's kinda useful when it comes to making laws. Especially if you have no legislative experience.
My point is, compare Clinton to Palin before Clinton was elected, they have the same experience level.

Clinton's law degree must not have been that important to him since he gambled it away during his presidency and was subsequently disbarred from practising law in 2001 for five years. The President of the Senate does not "make laws."

If it is a good question, as you state, why is it that you have not answered it? If you're not careful, you may be accused of making insulting generalizations about the population of 2 states.

It's all moot anyway, the mudslinging has put McCain and Palin on the front page of every newspaper and website in the country. Name recognition wins more elections than anything else.

Yes, yes, somehow the Palin implosion must be playing right into the Republicans' hands, you must be overjoyed. Specially if it wins "name recognition" for John McCain, up 'til now a virtual unknown.

By the same token, you must have been livid at all the lovely media attention Obama got just by going to a few lousy sermons ... such a signal publicity victory for the Democrats, as handed to them by the compliant liberal media.

You seem to have the funny idea that Clinton was governor of Arkansas for two years before becoming President. Wrong.

Clinton was elected governor in 1978, served two years and lost his reelection bid in 1980.

He then won the office back in 1982 and held it for 10 more years.
