Facts are not editorial comment. If the'd said that the plan would be a good thing, or a bad thing, that would be editorial comment. Reporting the facts is not, even if those facts do imply that Palin is a lunatic and that Obama will not kill your babies.

But as previously pointed out, that is a fact. Just because someone claims that 'rationing' would be a 'new thing', or insists that Medicare would be ruined if run by the Government, doesn't mean that they are not objectively wrong.

Denying coverage for certain procedures might increase under proposals to have a government-appointed agency identify medicines and procedures best suited for various conditions.

This, on the other hand, seems to be an editorial comment. While it is of course true that it could increase, it's also true that it could decrease. Specifically, it 'could' decrease because there are specific provisions in the various bills that stop insurance companies from denying care (='rationing') from people who have a pre-existing condition etc.

In fact, not only is "rationing" not a new thing, but according to Obama the proposed bill would make it illegal to cap benefits at an upper per-year or lifetime limit (which most if not all insurance plans currently do).
