I think he has (unless he's already dead) a lot of knowledge that could implicate a lot of people in very serious crimes. Too bad many of those people are probably the very ones controlling his execution..

Care to explain that one?

I think he'll be executed solely to make the Bush regime look like it can actually achieve something.
Of course. Because those he oppressed for 30 years and are now in power are the "forgive and forget" type, but they'll grudgingly execute Saddam just as a favor to Bush.

Bush Derangement Syndrome strikes again!

Lisa, I respectfully disagree. What the coalition achieved was his capture. This is (was, I am posting after the hanging) cleaning up the kitchen after cooking a stew. The hanging is about Iraq, not America. (See my post on the "good for America" Saddam hanging thread for more on that.)

Huh? I was right. He's dead. As for anything else, I doubt we will ever know.
No, you claimed he would be executed solely to make Bush look good.

This is 100% wrong, unless you really think that making Bush look good is the only thing the Iraqi court considered when issuing the sentence.

All you people who think it was Iraq that hanged Huissen, ask yourself this; if the Iraqi court had ordered his release, would we have let him go?

Probably not but it excludes a middle: if they had ordered him to 5/10/20 years, we'd have obliged.
