• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

sad or hilarious?

Absolutely, horribly, epically and completely pathetic. These people are wasting their lives on this nonsense.

my bet is that the ventura show fulfilled all his hopes and dreams and after finding out it was a sham he had to find a way to rationalize it. to do that he had to convince himself that romero couldn't have made superthermite.

Shurtleff’s response was, in my opinion, golden: “If you believe __________ then you’re out of your mind.” Simple, to the point, and totally scathing. Of course the Truther nitwit doesn’t have the shame to wipe the stupid grin off his face.

Is witness statements of molten steel "evidence"? Just asking.

It would be, if those statements could be verified. Since there were no reliable reports of steel that was melted, there are no witness statements of molten steel, but statements that someone witnessed what they thought was such. There were reports of deformed steel, molten metal, and suchlike that could be confirmed.

Do you have any evidence of molten steel? If so, please start a thread and present it. I am sure there are others who would be interested in seeing something new. Thanks! :)

I need 15 posts to post a link...

You can post broken links, and someone will repair them for you. Please note, if you are linking a YouTube video, it would be best to summarize what the video shows and give any time stamps of pertinent points.

You may also want to do a quick search to see if something similar has been posted in the past. Your reference to "molten steel" makes this very likely. Just sayin'.

If you do a search on Joe O'Toole, you will find any number of discussions on this quote. Basically, his claim has been shown to be unlikely at best, especially given the fact that he was in no position to ID the metal as steel, as opposed to more likely alternatives.

Please do that search and read those comments before claiming this as concrete evidence.

Oh Christ... Joe O'Toole's quote again?? Have any conspiracy addicts stopped and thought about the fact that he made his observations 5 months after the towers collapsed?? The quote attributed to him was uttered the following February. Like Dave Rogers said:
I'm not sure of the validity of Robertson's quote, but even if it were true, how would steel melted in the collapse remain molten for three weeks without an additional heat source? And if such a heat source was present, why could that heat source not have been the cause of any hypothetical melting? The anonymous quote makes no sense unless the molten metal was not steel, as molten steel running down channel rails would melt those rails. O'Toole's comment has the same problem

... the difference being that O'Toole's quote was made even longer after the fact than Leslie Robertson's.

--------

For once, will conspiracy peddlers take the time to read basics before rehashing claims dealt with a long time ago??
And yes, a long time ago! Note how many of the JREF threads listed here are from 2006. This is a well understood argument, and it's well understood that even if the molten steel was truly seen during the cleanup, there's zero proof it was molten prior to the collapse. In fact, there's evidence indicating that no steel was molten prior to and during the collapse (I'm of course referring to the recovered structural elements that show signs of mechanical force separating the connection points).

This is a dead topic. The motion induced by kicking a corpse only provides superficial signs of life; it doesn't mean the corpse is actually alive.
