Russian Bigfoots Start A War With Bears

There is trouble in the forest, there is touble with yet-ees, for the Grizzlies want more vittles, and Bigfoot ignores their pleas.

There is unrest in the forest, and the creatures all have fled, for the Grizzlies scream 'Oppression', and the Bigfeets shake their head.

Sung to Trees by Rush

THE BEASTS (Sung to the tune of Rush's Trees, with thanks to Drewbot and apologies to Lee, Peart and Lieffson)

There is unrest in the forest,
There is trouble with the Beasts,
For the Brown Bears want more vittles!
And the 'Squatch ignore their pleas.

The trouble with the Brown Bears,
(And the thought just gets 'em rarin' )
They say the 'Squatch are just too giant
And they grab up all the carrion.
But Bigfoot(s) can't help their feelings
If they just don't give a hoot.
And they wonder why the Brown Bears
Can't be happy with tree roots.

There is trouble in the forest,
And the creatures say "No More!",
As the Brown Bears scream "Oppression!"
And the Bigfoot(s) toss some boars.

So the Brown Bears formed a union
And expressed their earnest wish.
"The 'Squatch are just too greedy;
We will make them give us fish."
Now there's no more 'Squatch oppression,
For they passed a noble law,
And the Beasts are all kept equal
By tooth, fang and claw!

I appreciate the description, but with all due respect, why, ecologically, would a relic hominid live in that environment? and how?

I don't entertain the possibility and did not mean to be taken literally. It was a statement on how isolated, remote, and densely forested the area was. I've never felt the sense of these extremes so profoundly.
