Ed Roy Moore is still a jerk

At first I thought that you got me. But in thinking about it, maybe they buy closet accessories in Walmart.

I don't think so, but I have seen some in the parking lot eating gourmet popcorn. It's the cargo shorts that really send shivers down their spine.

Amazing that so many people who claim to be strict consturctionists on the US Constitution seems to have problems understanding the first section of the First Amendment ....
A meme I've seen recently surface is that Islam is a political ideology, not a religion, and therefore doesn't fall under the protection of the Constitution's "freedom of religion" clause. Even if you ignore the reality of the definition of "religion" and grant this, though, I don't see where the anti-Muslims gain anything by it, since even political ideology is protected under "freedom of thought and expression." Surely a Muslim with a political ideology based on his religion is no less protected in that than a Christian who believes, like David Barton, in the political idea of Christian Dominion for the US?

That sign is written so badly that at first I read "Alabama for Croatian Marriage" and had no idea what to think.

I thought it said "Crustacian Marriages".

I can't think of a reason to object to those on a moral basis, but I see all sorts of practical issues. Properly fitting rings for their little claws just for starters.

It's like watching an a live forum thread.

eta: Sorry, I should have said: It's an interview of Roy Moore by a CNN host.

Chris Cuomo really goes after him, doesn't he? Nice to see.
He's respectful enough, but he nails him on point after point.

I heard Moore making the slippery slope argument on TV earlier. He would be fine with SSM if only he thought it would stop there! You see pretty soon fathers will marry their daughters! blah blah blah....

aND, DON'T FORGRT THE REPUBLICKER CLAIMS TO iOWANS AROUND 15 YEARS AGO THAT THEIR CHILDREN MIGHT BE FORCED TO MARRY GAYS - OR FARM ANIMALS IF A dEM WAS ELECTED!!!!

People like Moore is a main reason why I think that liberals are mistaken in being anti private gun ownership.
I want to be able to shoot people like Moore if they actually attempt to enforce their beliefs.

Why yes, yes I do!:):):):):)!!!!!!!!

The KKK is on the side of Roy Moore. What a shocker.

In a latest attempt to capitalize on political and racial controversy, a Ku Klux Klan faction from Mississippi has initiated a “Call to arms in Alabama” in response to federal courts ruling that an amendment to the state constitution banning same-sex marriage was unconstitutional.

The post, which appeared on the United Dixie White Knights’ (UDWK) website and later on Stormfront — the largest online white supremacist forum — championed Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore for defying federal courts and called for Klansmen to leave their robes behind and take to the streets in protest.

“The Mississippi Klan salutes Alabama’s chief justice Roy Moore, for refusing to bow to the yoke of Federal tyranny,” Brent Waller, the UDKW’s imperial wizard, wrote in a Stormfront post. “The fudge packers from Hollywood and all major news networks are in shock that the good people from the heart of Dixie are resisting their Imperialist, Communist Homosexual agenda!”

Anywhere as interesting as the CNN interview?

OK.

The Fox one is shorter and more to the point. If your time is limited, most of the "meat" is there.

Anyway, Judge Moore is not an idiot, and I think he argues well, trying to keep the discussion on the law and prior decisions, not on his personal beliefs.

But it's pretty clear his position stems from his religious beliefs, and he's using past law to help justify that position.
