Ron Paul gets some press

None of this is really shocking news to those of us who are veterans of the CT forums, but not everyone is brave enough to look over that wall.

I keep trying to tell the Paulbots that it is a good thing for them that he doesn't get the attention he deserves.

Let them whine now and see if I care.

Well there is you, and Gary Franchi, so I guess supporters is correct.

Unless you're claiming that I'm a truther, your assumption is downright stupid. Of course, the same is equally true if that's what you're claim is.

Also, did you know that Ron Paul always ate the placenta after giving birth to a child? (Before eating the baby itself) :boxedin:

The word swiftboating is an American neologism used pejoratively to describe an unfair or untrue political attack.

If the story is true, how is it unfair?

ETA: The term came from the anti-Kerry ads by "Swiftboat Veterans for Truth", and it was unfair because it was untrue.

The article attempts to tie Ron Paul to one of his independent supporters, who happens to have a few fringe beliefs. No discussion of policy or real issues; just smears. It's about as fair as the two months of coverage about Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers were. Obama's associations with these people were factual, but it was unfair treatment.

In this case it's more valid than Obama's past associations as this is someone who's actively working to support his election run. Some people feel it's in the public's best interests to know who's behind the money.

You know, holy hell. A whole thread whining like a freaking baby about how Ron Paul "gets no press coverage"; and now finally when Paul gets some press coverage - of the exact same character as coverage of the other candidates, I might add - now it's just more whining? What would make you happy, some kind of North-Korean-style "Dear Leader" tribute? For crying out loud.
