Romney Becoming A Pariah Over Libya Attack Screw-Up

I'm rather surprised by the harpy attack on what seemed like a non-controversial observation. I'm not saying that a single gesture makes her less competent than Romney, but the "optics" of these things matters to voters. Somebody find me a polaroid of Lincoln covering his mouth and nose with his hands. Betcha a million dollars you won't find one.

Clinton famously did the one-hand mouth cover during the Bin Laden raid, and got some flak for it. I'll say again, not a strong, presidential gesture. Maybe someone could scrounge up a picture of Teddy Roosevelt resting the backs of his wrists on his hips. The smirk is fine. Better than fine. It's goto!

You keep trying to spin this as weakness, but as a humanist I like having government officials not ashamed to be seen valuing human life. I've read Roosevelt's account of the war in Cuba, and he deplored the horrific loss of life, even if he found it necessary. He didn't smirk and cry "bully" as you seem to think.

Can't wait until this is brought up during the debates...it'll be comedy gold to watch Mitten squirm. :D

Piscivore, the quotes in your post are kinda messed up. It puts words in my keyboard that aren't there. Do you still have time to clean it up. If not, no biggie.

I posted this elsewhere but think it belongs here as well.

Unless you think we should reasonably expect the POTUS to prevent all terrorist acts on foreign soil against this country, I'd say, yes, Obama is doing an excellent job.

I don't think either Obama or the press are displaying any of the instincts that will hold him accountable for this. "Give him the benefit of the doubt" and such. I haven't watched a single political ad yet but I think a bold Mittney's Foreign Policy Blunder reel would be a pretty compelling one.

Just to class things up, cause you can't spell class with out trump, the donald tweeted the following,

What a coincidence that Obama's good friends in Libya and Egypt picked 9/11 to attack our embassies.

Unbefreakinleivable. Not only is is response a lie, but when Americans are killed by a terrorist attack, Mitt's first thought is, "How can I turn this to my political advantage?" That is about as slimy as it gets.
This ^^

But you left out that it is about as stupid as it gets.

Not counting the 2,974 dead on 9/11 (not a U.S. Diplomatic facility).

Somehow I think Mitt will find a way not to have debates.

If he doesn't debate, he might as well give up. He's behind and sinking and he needs some kind of game changer. Debates are the best hope left for that. Not much of a hope maybe, but what else has he got?

Yeah, the only thing that kept him from disaster during the Republican debates was Rick Perry.
