From today's Denver Post.

A robot met its end near Coors Field on Wednesday night when the Denver Police Department Bomb Squad detonated the "suspicious object," bringing to an end the hours-long standoff between police and the approximately 8-inch-tall figurine.

Can you imagine what they'd do if it was 60 feet tall with laser eyes?

Nuke Denver?

That thing it's cemented into looks like it could be the leg of its 60 foot mother. So we might be finding out soon.

Next week, watch for hundreds of toy robots to be plastered all over Denver.

Police brutality, and profiling! Robot-Americans have rights!

Sadly enough, even now many robots perform dangerous and uncofortable work in factories with long hours, no beaks, and no regular pay.

It is even said that some home owner have started keeping small ones for housework - vaccuming, for example - without pay, benefits, or documentation.

At least the deceased is in Silicon Heaven now with the toasters and calculators.

Robots don't have beaks?

Yes, but they were rescued from living like savages in Africa.

I understand this one was a follower of L. Ron Hoover and the First Church of Appliantology.

The article doesn't say, but it could very well be that they blew up a Model XQJ-37 Nuclear-Powered Pansexual Roto-Plooker. This could be why some frustrated appliance fetishist eventually goes off and invents Skynet.

A robot is dead and all you could do is make jokes! That is inhuman!
(that's all i got)
