Robbie Thomas

This from a reliable source (regarding the May 21 "Psychic Justice" event in Kentucky):
"(1) The show was held at the Coal Miner's Museum in Van Lear, Kentucky last week. The people at the location donated the space. Those promoting Thomas did not even know he was coming until the day of the show. The people that ran the building claimed that they knew he was a fraud shortly after he arrived.

(2) A total of nine people attended.

(3) Each was charged $35, including April Pennington's mother who brought Thomas in for the event which was designed to publicize and exploit her dead daughter. Yes, according to the information we received from this source, the mother of the dead child was charged $35 to attend the show."

Robbie Thomas must be running through friends finances, or stiffing venues left right and center. 9 people? I have never been to, acted in, or for that matter heard about a stage show so bad, 9 people show up. There is no way he is making money unless he is screwing people over big time.

9X35 = 315 dollars. tax is probably going to eat up around...40 at least. The venue at least 100, and other expenses like gas and eating, at least 50-60. Leaving Robbie Thomas with a cool , approx 115 dollars to pay promoters, himself, etc.

Just give it up , hack. There is no way Robbie Thomas is not building a mountain of ill will high enough to make sure he won't get a job cleaning camera lenses for a local tv station, let alone continue his psychic career

A profit of $315? I just came back from a trip to Kansas and it took me more than $300 just to travel there and back, and that's not including the hotel and food expense while staying there. Assuming he drove, like I did, he still needs to stay a night somewhere. 16 straight hours on the road is tough to pull, much less having to stand up on an empty stage and lie to 9 people for an hour. While that may feed his ego, he still needs his tummy too, and for some reason Robbie Thomas doesn't seem like a MickeyD's sort of guy.

What really irks me about this whole thing is why did Mrs. Pennington not receive the same respect as all the previous "bereaved"?

You know in regards to mrs pennington , i hate to be a turd in the punchbowl, but i think the answer is fairly logical myself. Robbie is lacking funds.

Maybe he could open his black shriveled heart a bit, to get some free publicity back when he had coin to throw around, but now the coinpurse is becoming tighter and tighter.

That, and from what i have read he had to be cajoled quite a bit to give any free tickets out.

But on a related note. How much of an A-hole does one have to be , to say they are going to solve a criminal case, and then charge the person 35 dollars to see this? I would say at least 95 per cent a-hole. Or a ratio of 19 atoms of A-hole, to every one of any other tissue exist in robbie thomas.

He is doing it to make a movie about himself and the hard road of vanishing to a nobody. Here is a title for that movie: Where did Robbie go? Only thing is he needs someone to give him $115,000 plus a $5,000 reserve and then he wants 50% of the profits.....

He must think he has such an interesting life of fraud and lies that someone wants to watch it. Sorry Robbie, you need to solve a crime first without committing it yourself.

Tax? Robbie isn't going to pay taxes on this?

Is he going to claim it on the Canadian Tax system and how will he explain it without a US work permit?

Okay that took me about 3 days to finally finish listening to that rant. Which is what it was, a hella long rant about how she was almost taken by Robbie Thomas.

Let me see if I can sum it up somewhat for those of you who don't have two hours to listen to this woman. If anyone else listened please help fill in the details I'm missing.

Apparently this woman, can't remember her name now was best buddies with Robbie Thomas. She truly believed in him and would have jumped off a bridge for him (her words many many times). She has a team of paranormal researchers in think in Maryland who found a old hospital in the woods that used to be for African-Americans suffering from TB. She and her team feel that there are spirits there that want their stories told. She got very emotional several times describing how badly she felt that they were trying to contact people. Her team has spent 200 hours at the site recording and filming.

She asked her best buddy Robbie Thomas if he would help her make a movie about the hospital, he said he would do it and asked how much money she could raise. She said she had $115,000 from a donor. He said it would cost that much to do a movie. He wrote out a contract and sent it to her. She says she knows nothing about making movies, but when she saw the contract she was suspicious because he asked for 50% of all the income from the movie.

Anyway, she goes back and forth on the contract, into specific detail and even has the contract up on her MySpace page for people to view, she did not sign it, and Robbie was all over her for days asking for the money. Apparently he was desperate for the money.

In the end the state told her that they could no longer go into the building as it was deemed unsafe and in a dangerous location. So the money was withdrawn and she lost the project.

Then Robbie had an idea to make a docomentry instead of a movie using the footage they already had. Robbie had nothing to do with any of the filming. So he said the cost would be.....$115.000.

She has split off from Robbie and is in tears over losing the friendship and realizing that she was nearly had.

That sounds like a good summary of the two hours I wasted listening to her carry on and on and on. She had $120K from the investor and Robbie wanted the other $5K as a contingency fund in case of overruns...... (his pocket has holes).

He tried to threaten her saying he had all the email conversations they had and then he said she owed him money after she walked....

Money hungry slime-ball fraud he is.

I found the idea of them fighting amongst themselves very interesting. The woman clearly lacked critical thinking skills, but when it came to money she opened her eyes. But the truth that Robbie is a slime ball was like hitting a brick wall.

$115 grand to make a ghost film? Really!?

Okay, so robbie was really trying to get some cash here folks. As far as film goes, a ghost hunting documentary is about the easiest cheapest type of film you can make. This is reason 1 that there have been about a half dozen made in my city in the past couple of years.

To put it in perspective, " Real Ghosts "(one of the many paranormal documentaries put out here) was shot in an afternoon with a budget of gas.

" Dark Fields" the terrible d grade horror film i was in was shot over about 4-5 months with a budget of around 5-10 grand. ( i have gotten conflicting stories when i ask, but that is another story for another day. )

So we can see how much cheaper an average ghost hunting documentary is compared to even the lowest of the low budget horror films.

$115 grand? What could he possibly have spent that on? The ghost hunters would have their ghostly equipment, and for amateur films people usually only get paid if the film makes money, so no up front actor/expert costs. The location wouldn't cost them anything. And its not like they would need to shoot for any longer than ( at a very generous estimate) 4 hours a day or so for a max of about 2 weeks.

Robbie was just trying to scam this lady, i have a strong feeling if she got him the cash, he would have just took off.

I would say my standard closing of " why do people still fall for this crap" but when he is only managing to wrangle 9 people for a show. I don't think that is enough fans to warrant the statement. Lunatic street preachers can get more fans than that.

Did this woman have a French name? he made a FB post about being assailed in email by some wackadoo (liberal paraphrasing, here) and was willing to share the emails w/ all who asked.

...aaand that post, as I just discovered, has vanished into the aether!

I'm thinking about defriending him- he posts things that offend me on a moral/spiritual level.

I REALLY hate crappy FM rock videos!. and his relentlessly burbling 'chill bro' typing style grates on me, too!

I can't remember her name, but she didn't seem to be French. From the South from her accent. But I'm a real nit-wit when it comes that sort of thing.

"All booked up for my flight to Kentucky for this murder case that has many running around right now not knowing what to think. With Law Enforcement and other officials working with me on this, I heard you were scared, well, be afraid, real afraid cause we are coming. Yes indeed, we have them running its true...I HEARD TODAY! Keep those prayers coming for the family and all involved in the case."

Barf.
