I like the toothpick story.
The following Toothpick Story illustrates this concept. A fellow went to court and had managed not to contract right to the end when he said, It seems my public business is finished here so I am now leaving, and headed to the door. The judge yelled, And take that toothpick out of your mouth! and the man did. As soon as he did, the judge yelled to the Bailiff, Arrest that man. Why? Because by removing the toothpick from his mouth the man had contracted with the court.

That they repeat this garbage among themselves is evidence they are not grounded in reality. No matter what nonsense you spout, if you turn and try to walk away during court the bailiffs will probably grab you even before the judge can order them to do it.

Might as well click your ruby slippers and chant "there's no place like home..." :rolleyes:

Oh, I can personally say I have seen this already happen and the outcome was very interesting.

For reasons above my understanding the video of this will never reach the public. It is a shame, but that is the way it is.

I can say, that I have seen the footage and this is what happened.

There was a guy in court who was prosecuting a cop in a Commonwealth Country. The cop had failed to do his duty, and this man I know, had filed an Informations and was prosecuting him. He is not a lawyer, nor member of the bar. Nor has any certificate to practice law etc. He did however in a previous life work for the Crown doing various interesting jobs.

He had the Cop in the Dock and was grilling him, and the judge kept on interrupting and preaching from the bench. I don't think they are allowed to do that, so the Judge was told another word, and he would be held in contempt of court.
The Judge leapt from his seat and shouted a load of legal jargon, pertaining to Him being the authority here and it was His Court.

In response to this, the Judge was asked if he needed to be reminded why he was the colour of charcoal?

The Judge was still standing.

He ran out the door.

This was a very speeded up version of what happened, as the case was far too complicated and sensitive to go into full details. But I can tell you, 2 years later, the cop is now a nightwatchman and the judge lives now in Australia.

The idea of selling these "you can pay for things without money" schemes for cash is rather like this: Some Problems Inherent In Trying to Sell a Counterfeiting Machine.

Here's the first problem: if you come into my pawn shop with a counterfeiting machine and you tell me that you need to sell your counterfeiting machine because you need cash, I'm going to just look at you and not say anything until it dawns on you just what the trouble with your position is. I don't care if we're standing there for days looking at each other while the stars wheel around us, I'm going to wait until you figure it out because I want to know how long that'll take and because I'll really enjoy that moment.

Maybe SPAR of the TAC US family, since a spar is part of a ship and a ship tacks to change direction it is clear that the US is under Admiralty law.:eye-poppi

Inspiring stuff:

For the record, Robert Menard is a great man. I grew up idolizing professional athletes and rock stars, only to find out most of them are spoiled babies and whiners. I know this sounds cheesy, but Rob Menard is my hero - I don't think there is anyone on the planet who I have more respect for. I cannot thank him enough for opening my eyes. But enough ass-kissing - on to my story...

Fast forward to last week, when I got pulled over for "having no tail lights". Constable Chris Brown pulled me over and suggested I had no tail lights (I just have the black covers on them). I got out of the car and showed him I indeed had taillights, and he then suggested that the black covers were illegal. I asked him "illegal according to who?" and he said they were illegal according to the Highway Safety Act. I then asked him if there was anything in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms about illegal taillights, and he straight up *********** lost it on me!
"YOU WANT TO PLAY GAMES WITH ME BUDDY!" - Chris Brown (angry "peace" officer)

I don't think I have ever had someone so angry at me
...
In the end, he hit me with almost $1000 worth of fines, and left me on the side of the road. He threatened me that if I tried to drive away he would pull me over again, and hit me with more fines (which is total BS, once he served me a summons it is between me and a judge) - but he was really beligerant at this point, so I just walked to the nearest gas station and had my friend pick me up. I went back a few hours later and got my car.

This was really vindicating for me, and I really feel like I have won a major battle.
