Now there you go, gettin' all logical and stuff. We're talking Menard here and he has unfortunately proven time and again that he a few grains of rice short of a piece of sushi

I'm not so much expecting Menard to see the huge flaw in his plan as I'm hoping one of his marks sees it.

I really wish we could be there when a mark (certainly not Menard) makes the first attempt to 'cash' one of these!

Exactly, cut out the middleman, which is exactly what Robert was going to do with the fictitious "Debbie's" note.
He did say he was going to bill her $10,000 for the work and then redeem the note for cash at the bank, if thats possible why do they need any retailers on board at all?

I was never quite sure where that $10,000 was supposed to come from. Walking into a bank with a note that says 'give me 10 grand' is usually called robbery no matter who has signed it.

Ah you hit on the flaw in Menard's otherwise clever plan - the bank doesn't know what he thinks they know nor will it do what he want them to do

maybe Menard got the idea from this guy

Authorities didn't have to look too hard for the man who robbed a Canada Trust branch.

Craig MacNaughton, 31, of nearby Kelowna, wrote the holdup note on one of his deposit slips.MacNaughton pleaded guilty to robbery in provincial court Wednesday and was sentenced to three years in jail.

On Aug. 25, MacNaughton handed a teller a note, produced a large knife and said, "Give me your money, I need it," prosecutor Vern Frolick told the court.

When the Royal Canadian Mounted Police examined the robbery note, they discovered it was written on the back of a Canada Trust deposit slip, with MacNaughton's branch and account number filled in, Frolick said.

"I think what we're dealing with is a person of some diminished capacity," defense attorney Brian Adams said.

maybe he didnt write in green ink at a 45 degree angle

Ah but Menard knows they dont know, he just hopes that his 'marks' dont know that they dont know that he knows they dont know.

Great heavily whispered asides! (aside) Little do they know how little I know about the little they know. If only I knew the little that they know, I'd know a little. I'll have to keep my little ears open you know. (HAUU!). End of long, boring asides!

I don't think it would be robbery. I think it would be more like passing a forged cheque. But unless they can make the consumer note look like normal cheque it probably won't get past a bank teller. If it looks sufficiently like a normal cheque to fool a teller then it will be dealt with like any other bounced cheque. A consumer note and a normal cheque are both bills of exchange, and if you are cashing a worthless bill of exchange it can result in criminal charges in Canada.

Ah... but doesn't that create a debt to Canada?
Unless I mis-interpreted Robs $5 hamburger and fries bit of his introduction video. :)

Just signed up to menards ACCP newsletter.
Just look at the ACCPs new address
Let me get this straight. They've gone from a run down rental cottage in backwoods Muskoka to the heart of Toronto's financial district. Overnight.

Riiiight.

Maybe this will shed some light on the address change, an e-mail from 'Tracey'
I wrote to her asking why Robert seemed to be jumping the gun with his shows and his announcement of the executive team.

I would reply to you however, I can't trust that you wouldn't post it. Plus I'm very upset that my last name is on the forum as I have an ex boyfriend who would love to know where I live, so now my safety is jeopardized and now I have to move. So thanks for that.

Is her last name on the forum?
Maybe shes the plaintiff in one of the quoted cases.
Or maybe Menard is Tracey?
Changing sex is par for the course with these guys/gals

Sure is. Here it is again:

Don't think so. But she might be the defendant in a future one.
Don't forget Kate/Keith Thompson.

I would hate to put you in the same category as Peter-Andrew: Nolan (aka Globalman). He put personal details about his ex-wife on the Freemen of Australia website and managed to get it shut down as a consequence.

OTOH I haven't read enough of this thread to learn anything about this Tracey. Is she really so despicable that you would deliberately publish her personal details simply because she asked not to?
