Menard thought for a moment he had the upper hand in that exchange then realised they were just waiting for him to start his idiocy, thats why he made his excuses and left.

Whereas it is my understanding that the Bible states "blessed be the peace makers, for they shall be called the sons of God", and,
Whereas I am desirous of enjoying peace and making it available for other, and,
Whereas I am compelled by my faith to become a peace officer, and,
Whereas it is my understanding that becoming a peace officer is a lawful and proper course of action, and,

Therefore be it now known to any and all, that I, Robert-Arthur a Freeman-on-the-Land of the Menard family hereby claim the right to make oath or otherwise affirm under a contract to preserve and maintain the public peace and by that action become a peace officer, with all the inherent rights, benefits, protections, privileges and corresponding duties and obligations.

Furthermore I claim the right to witness, observe, record, report, charge and arrest anyone who breaches the public peace specifically but not limited to existing peace officer who while exercising their duties as policy enforcement officers act unlawfully and in a manner that breaches the public peace.

Does anyone else sense that the freeman cult is not headed to a good end?

First our subject recruits a few members who can’t belong anywhere else and then dupes them into giving their money and allegiance to the freeman cult.

In exchange for this loss of independence the cult leader in evidence offers a sort of home for freemen, in his own happy valley, where everyone cares for each other and loves each other. When it turns out the cult can’t make its own Jamestown, the leader offers them a web world to live in, complete with internet censorship and endless youtubes!

Thus our subject gives this group of erstwhile losers a strong feeling of belonging.

Having lost almost all contact with the reason of the outside world, freeman minions are told they can make their own law and have their own police.

When pressed on this absurdity, the freeman cult members just become more angry and confrontational.

While we all may have a good laugh on them does not seem to have a occurred to us that the cult is a nut case plus a traffic stop or court summons away from a tragedy.

This worries me too. I think it is very likely that there will eventually be violence from disenfranchised FOTLers. It has already happened multiple times in the USA with "sovereign citizens". It's bound to happen in Canada sooner or later.
 
One hope is that Menard, for once, practices what he preaches...gets in his Toytown Police Truck, waves his pretend badge and tries to arrest a real Police Officer. Perfectly obvious to the sane what will happen there.

The chances of that happening though are about as likely as Roger Hayes being made Chancellor of The Exchequer.

The US Sovs are bit mental, but they tend to be the "live in a bunker with lots of big guns brigade". If they weren't being Sovs they'd be wearing tableclothes.

The UK followers are pretty much the dregs of society and are about as dangerous as soggy lettuces.

The Canadians never get their Freedomy Valley and their guru is all mouth. And a nutter.
So not much danger there apart from the usual prison sentences.

Yes I think this will occur later than sooner, Canadians tend to be on the slow side when it comes to violent behaviour
