This one is pretty exciting. River answers every argument Hovind throws at him, at the end Hovind calls River a liar. lol

Man, that dating stuff is not that hard to understand...

Interesting how Hovind can't seem to separate evolution and geology. I suppose if you're stuck on a 6,000 year-old earth, that's what you have to do...

I see he's still telling River to get his own show... :)

I speak with River quite often, he plans on having a debate on Hovinds program. If/when this happens, Ill record it, and link u guys :)

Wow! Hovind can certainly dodge questions...

His debate style seems to be to jump from one topic to another, never staying focussed long enough to actually get 'pinned down'.

Hovind seemed to be criticising dating methods for discrepancies between them but I'll bet that none of those methods even came close to dating the earth at 6000 years old.

That is what I can't understand, if he were arguing over the finer points of dating methods he might be able to make a case. However he tries to use these slightly contentious areas of science as evidence of a wacky belief in a 6000 year old earth?!

I really wonder if Hovind actually believes this stuff or whether he is exploiting a niche market to make money, along the same lines as the televangelists. I know that he is under investigation for tax evasion currently.

Hardly. He's not even understanding the difference between an absolute measurement and a ratio...

I don't see how Hovind can possibly have something against dating methods when he relies on a book to date things.

Oh well.

I thought it was going to be the Colorado River (if that's the Grand Canyon River, I can't really remember) vs. Hovind, re: That Goddamned Book The USGS Is Selling.

I'll have to take a listen to that though.
