The US didn't start any of those conflicts. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda started the war in Afghanistan and Saddam started the one in Iraq.

I thought the money for GLenn Beck at the rally was going to a charity. I think the Wounded Warriors Fund.
 
I was trying to find a comment from Palin but I found this.

(Christopher) Cox said the date of the event is a coincidence. Cox originally was eyeing Sept. 4, but did not want to compete with the Alaska State Fair, and moved the date to a week later, which worked out better for Beck as well.....
Glenn Beck didn't even realize September 11th was the anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

Funny, I think Wilson did something similar just because he caught some stupid German official sending a careless telegram to the Mexican government (the "Zimmerman telegram"), and FDR did something similar just because a few thousand lousy Americans were killed in a surprise attack.

And Ft. Sumter being fired on? Is that really a good reason to start the deadliest war in American history?! And suspend habeas corpus?!

Not to mention that idiot Washington starting a suicidal, sure-to-be-lost war with the greatest empire the world had ever seen over some whiny complaint about taxation. Pathetic.

Yes, warmongering thugs like Wilson, FDR, Lincoln and Washington can be so oversensitive.

The ecconomy is in thev toilet and Republicans keep threatening to pull the handle if we do not give them even more tax breaks to do notrhing of any benefit to working people, the Army is breaking down under the stress of too-long deployment without adequate repair facilities and we are still trying to patch up our relations with the rest of the world, and small businesses are closing up because all the money from their neioghborhoods is beiing sucked up by big-box stores that are feeding the ecconomy of China.

Yeah, that supply-side crap is working out really well.

And now we have the rightwhackers strutting about calling themselves "patriots" and pointing to 9.11 as an example of why we need their whiney butts back in power.

Get a clue. The GOP let 9/11 happen by their stupidity, and then convinced people that we had to go swaggering about the world kicking everybody in the shins to keep them from hurting us again.

And then they didn't bother to do anything to really enablle us to survive if people fought back.

But that's okay, because the bean-counters and coupon-clippers are doing just great, thank you mister wage slave.

Your grasp on reality is tenuous at best.

Neo-conservatism is a superstition.
