Richard Gage Q&A

You call going on the road and having seminars lazy?
He is seen in public and you guys are here on a sub forum.lol
If he even gets one more believer from every stop, he`s still doing quite better than you all.

Wow Tweeter. Frauds travel around spreading lies and taking the money of stupid people and what do you do? You applaud them. Brilliant.

Don't mind Tweeter. He is still in denial that his fellow truthers consider Mark Roberts and the JREF as the biggest obstacle for their pathetic movement. I am sure there are many, many people who owe Mark and/or the JREF for allowing them to see through the bullcrap that is the truth movement.

TAM:)

What are some hardball questions that we can throw at Gage during this session?

Mr. Gage: ln your debate with Mark Roberts you made conclusions about the NIST collapse hypothesis based on the results of an experiment you performed with cardboard boxes. Have you tested your own nano-thermite hypothesis with cardboard boxes, and if so, what was the result?

Follow up: Were you able to determine what changes would have to be made to the cardboard box experiment in order for it to collapse in a similar manner to WTC 1 & 2?

Again, PLEASE help me talk to some Truthers in person. I've been looking at WeAreChangeLA's meetup account and they never do anything besides having backroom meetings which sound too creepy to try and sit in on or something like "go up and bother a police officer...WITH THE TRUTH Mondays"

From this point on you are not allowed to fall back on that lame argument until you get me to some Truthers to talk to. I don't have the money to go on tour :(

Why is it my fault youre a bum and cant afford to do anything.
Last i heard the average salary of forum members is over 60 k.
Maybe you dont belong here.

What is the average age of forum members? How old do you think I am? Making a lot of horrible assumptions doesn't just stop at 911 for you does it?

I'm a little confused, because I can't afford to go on tour I'm a bum?

I'm glad you've stopped using that lame argument though, good lookin' out.

Anyways, I think the best thing to do is to call Gage out on one of the misleading things he has in his presentations. I remember Gravy pointing out that he took two quotes from eye witnesses and split them up into multiple quotes to make it seem liker there were more accounts of people hearing bombs, IIRC.

Something like that would be awesome.

Thanks to all for your thoughtful responses. I have been traveling for work most of the week so I have not had time keep up with the forums. I am reading through all your postings this morning.

Hope to see some of you at TAM7!

Personally I would start out saying, how you saw him on Youtube talking with the Calfornia morning show.

then I would ask him why he would go on television and tell 10 bald faced LIES that anyone with 5 minutes of research could find the real truth. The I would point out each and every lie, with the citation which shows it is wrong.
I would then ask him why he can't do 5 minutes of basic entry level college research.

Type up a page of citations and bring a pile of copies as a handout.

oh...
do what the truthers do. Make a leaflet which has EACH of those claims (all of them are false) with the actual information and citaitons to support it.

Hand them out in the Q&A.

:)

I wish I was there... I'd be part of that.

Although I did not generate the muster to go myself, my buddy Case took one for the team and attended the event. I am so proud of his attempts.

Gage presented the same slide deck as he has in years past. So much for “new evidence”. Case took the Q&A by first acknowledging his appreciation the early slide of the process of the scientific method, with a follow up as to how has Gage's organization applied the same scientific method to evaluate their own claims. For an example, experimenting with a thermite demolition on a much smaller scale.

This was met with some heckling, of course. Gage's response was that they lacked funding for such study.

The bottom line is that not one comprehensive theory can be generalized by these guys. Instead, they try to poke holes in events that they have difficulty accepting. We watch the same video, and I see gravity in motion, and they see controlled demolition.

Uggg.

It would have been nice to remind Mr. Gage of the previous "experiment" -- I of course refer to the fiasco at Burning Man -- where he was a speaker.

Our own take on it was here. Long story short, 70 pounds of thermite, didn't work. Arguably wasn't even attempted. The test subject was a sign without enough steel in it to build a competent roll cage, let alone a major girder in a skyscraper. No horizontal cutting at all observed. Just a blindingly bright flare as it went up.

The TruthBurnTM event, incidentally, was also an exercise in attempted fundraising, with an originally stated goal of $60,000. Their costs were later estimated at $7,000. I don't know if the discrepancy is due to a descope, or if they had other plans for the $53,000 windfall they'd originally hoped for.

In my opinion, they're both deluded and charlatans out to make a buck, but who knows.

So tell us the numbers? Every time Gage speaks he gets 97.5% of the audience to agree with him, that the official report is false. How did he do with your event?

I'd suggest that they are charlatans who are deluded about how many bucks they can make off this scam.

It seems like they did a test burn (wouldn't you) on another similar column, and the horizontal manner of firing this box of T* surrounding four sides of the column didn't work. (They said that they lightened the gauge of the steel for easy portablility).

Perhaps they realized that three of the four faces of the exterior columns lay outside the glass windows, and the installation of this four sided T* collar was factually impossible.

Perhaps they then tried a one sided T* box and discovered that this arrangement couldn't cut all four sides of this 14" square box at a distance and at an angle.

Perhaps they realized mighty, highly visible, symmetrical fiery flares cutting the exterior columns would have been clearly seen.

A Truther's scrambled brains produced the following (graphics on then proposed sign) about the proposed TruthBurn at Burning Man:

"TRUTH*
*Unless we have a complete lack of knowledge about thermodynamics, which we do."

Oh, the TruthBurn sign was way over-designed steel wise. I could have offered to assist them in re-designing it as a consultant to make it actually work (and look a lot cooler), but it wouldn't have solved their main problem, one which they foolishly displayed anyway: The sun-like radiance with which thermite burns.

Ah, memories:

I liked this comment at 9-11 Blogger:

What the hell was that?..........I would have rather seen a sugar cube skyscraper filled with firecrackers.

I could arrange that, but I'd need $20,000 to pay for supplies.
