After all the lives he's ruined, he himself lives to a ripe old age, and dies a rich man. God is great. :(

Utterly vile human being that split apart families and destroyed many lives, as so many cult leaders and self declared messiah's do.

so what?

Even though Moon himself is gone, he left behind an organization that will continue to spread his useless & harmful memes.

Ding dong, the Moon is dead.
Which old moon?
Sun Myung Moon.
Ding dong, Sun Myung Moon is dead.

Aaaaah... Aaaaaah...

Neil! Mr. Armstrong!

Yes, Heavenly Father?

Would you please stop doing that? That poor soul is the REVEREND Moon. Flush your ears, will you?

He broke my ribs, Heavenly Father.

Ah, be quiet. (These freshly deceased are always out of their elements...)

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

And that includes several other billions who entertain fairy tales as orders on how to subjugate others. Yes. If we celebrate his "passing" we should desire and perhaps actively seek other billions' "passings".

Good chance this will catalyse the rift that's been growing between the leadership and we'll see a fracturing of the religion.

I wonder will one of the offshoots call themselves "The DisUnification Church"?

This article in yesterday's Guardian is based on an interview of Steven Hassan who used to be a Moonie:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/sep/03/moonie-cult-leader

At some point they said they were part of a student movement, trying to make the world a better place. I said, "Are you part of some sort of religious group?" They said no. They also didn't say they were celibate and that Reverend Moon was going to match people and tell them when they could have sex. If they had, I would have said: "You're crazy, leave me alone." I say this to highlight the point about deception: people don't knowingly join cults.
