If really like to throw a Molotov cocktail, but at my age I think I'd rather just throw back a cocktail and let the kids have at it. I put my time in and frankly I'm too old for this ◊◊◊◊.

Do these Zs and Alphas get up and actually do stuff, or do the Xers and a few Millineals still gotta lead the charge? We got bills to pay and stuff.

Zs have been outed as Trump supporters and they're currently working on "guiding" the Alphas along the same path. Xers are too busy complaining about not being able to afford a house while Millennials are too buys convincing them that life is about experiences, not possessions. There may be some hope with the Millennials as I'm sure they'd just love to sit around sipping cocktails made with ingredients I have to look up and share their plans about their upcoming trips for a little waterboarding at Guantanamo Bay that they saw advertised on Bluesky.

Ha ha! I approve this message!

Yes that's all present and correct. I think of Musk's X as a Galileo moment where all the random acts are out there somewhere, but free speech is the anchoring sun in the middle.
Now this Bluesky is back to the crazed epicycles.
I search names of people whose views I consider make sense, and they are predominantly ridiculed and denounced on Bluesky.

To be fair you and the names you you consider make sense are ridiculed here as well.

Meanwhile I dunno if this is true but it was my prediction:

"Liberals are now FLOCKING back to X, after getting bann3d by other liberals on BIuesky. "

I expected it. The very first thing the rocket surgeons at Atheism+ did is was turn on each other. It's a depressingly common and entirely predictable failure mode of such communities.

Put it this way, would you drink in a pub where you thought everyone was a wanker and they kept interrupting your conversation to talk about something you weren’t interested in and to swear at you?
Terrible analogy. Everyone curates their own feed. If you're seeing unpleasant ideas, it's because you want to.

The problem with Bluesky, and Twitter before it, is that people want to put their opinions out there, but only for a friendly audience.

This is why the libs of TikTok are so pissed off about LibsOfTikTok, for the crime of retweeting their public statements.

I'm thinking Bluesky is a one horse town but you can still see the lights of Vegas.
