By the way, all you anti illegal immigration folks, I have one question. Are you aware of how to immigrate to this country legally? I'll give you a hint:
1) Be married to an American, or have an American family member (oh, and let me point out as has been mentioned in this thread 12748932574389 times, an "anchor baby" makes this requirement a little more punitive).
2) Have a high-paying job lined up that the employer has advertised and been unable to find an American to fill.
3) Beat statistically improbable odds and win the INS lottery.
4) There is no 4.
I want a mansion, but I don't have one. Will you give it from me? If not, how about I just take everyone's money and make my own?
Wanting something real bad isn't the same as legislating that you MUST get something.
I think a lot more people would be in favor of open borders if the law applied the same to everyone. IF its ok to hire under minimum wage, and even if the mayor/governor/city council member doesn't like you, they still can't bust you for it, you'd probably see a lot less resistance.
This wink and a nod (until we're mad at you) stuff doesn't cut it
