(warning: some bragging ahead :D)

At TAM5, the turnout from my state of Colorado was modest -- about eight that I know of, including myself, Grayman, Dumb All Over, Elaine, Rich Orman, Rich Ludwig (ramboelmo), some fellow named Hal Bidlack and a few others.

We've improved on that number a bit for TAM6: Amy, Craig, Cruiser, Crystal, Danny Schade, Dumb All Over, Elaine, Elin, Erin Z, Frank, Grayman, Hal Bidlack, James, Joe Albietz, John R, Justin, Laura, Micah, Mikyle, Nitor, Paul, Phil Plait, Rich Ludwig, Rich Orman, Ryan, Shawn, myself and possibly one or more members of Rocky Mountain Paranormal.

So that appears to be a jump from 8 to at least 27, of those we actually know about, just from Colorado.

Any other places experiencing such a surge in interest and growth in turnout? Will any of this translate to a larger overall turnout over TAM5?

btw, I haven't heard any overall number for TAM6, rumored or otherwise.

I saw the number 854 prereg's somewhere.

I'm not gonna list the names of all attending from California. I will speculate that the number exceeds that of Colorado, but the growth rate falls short.

Wyoming is NOT part of Colorado, no matter how many of you greenies invade our lakes in the summer. :p

To my knowledge, at least 66.6% of the JREF Forum members from Wyoming will attend TAM6. ;)

I know of 4 from Georgia - me, mr ottle, Cleon, Krelnik - any others??

I don't know of anyone else from Michigan that is going this year.

I have run into a few people at TAM that are from Michigan but not forumites. But the skeptics from Michigan don't hang out together much.

But then I am not even home much anyway.

Wyoming has lakes? ;)

My post's subject transformed from the Denver group (of which you are a member) into the state of Colorado. My bad.

It's a safe bet that California will be well represented.

You Colorado folks with all your highfalutin technology things like electricity and indoor-plumbing. It gives you the airs it does.

C'mere ya big lug...:hug4

I will speculate that the number [from CA] exceeds that of Colorado, but the growth rate falls short.

Given 1000 attendees from the US, CA should field approximately 120 given its population. It's a big state.

I know of six personally who are coming from Ottawa, of which at least two or three post here. There are probably a few more I'm forgetting, or don't know about.

Oh, I'll speculate that we'll do better than our rightful 12% share.

Hey Doubt, I'm originally from Grand Rapids (go Creston Polar Bears!). And I graduated from Michigan. But what can I say? California pulled me in.

Born and raised in Salinas, CA

Colorado just added a few from California!

Wondering how many they expect this year, it seems like 1,000 isn't going to do it justice, more like 1,200? Can they fit us all?

If you are counting people, I am bringing my son, so that makes two more for California
